Earlier this month I talked with my boss and her boss about me pivoting into Strategy. They were both excited (said it made sense) and supportive. We had a new GSD join our team this month as well, so they announced my pivot to the broader team. But since then, nothing has happened. I was even sent on a production shoot, that I wasn’t suppose to go to, so my Acct Mgmt tasks are growing and no tasks for Strat. Any advice on how to move things along? Thanks in advance!

Need some advice. Work for AT&T corp Store Manager. Been in wireless industry for about 14 years. Base is about 60k and commission and incentives add to 35k extra. Single dad and have worries making less then 80-85k if I change companies. Don’t have degree but considered a top store managing about 20 people. Not getting the opp to progress past this level. I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. Does anyone have experience or advice?

Hey folks, I want to exit into industry by year end, and ideally I’d like to target associate director or SM roles at biopharma (thinking corp strategy, Portfolio planning, BD&L). I have roughly 2 YOE with a PhD. A large proportion of the companies I am interested in (cell and gene tx) are based in Boston, but I’m wondering how the opportunities are in New York, since I might be moving there to be closer to my S/O. Will I have more or less options, and will remote options be here to stay?

Decision - I was out the door of my nationwide ins dfense firm. Was going to top local firm with a lot more clout where everything would be private pay and I’d be more on bigger exposure cases. However, my firm outmatched the new firm, made a much better bonus structure, and said I could do more work with their complex bus lit group. I’d still likely do about 50 percent ins defense but I really like the partners I work for, and I handle own cases/take depos, and get autonomy. Am I right to stay?

I have about a year's experience in the role but I keep getting rejected after final rounds even when I have people pulling for me within the department, consistently improve my elevator pitch, ask plenty of relevant questions, try to connect with interviewers, etc.
