17% of Central govt Income comes from Income tax and this 17% goes to Defense (8 %) and Central govt schemes ( 9 % ) . So our money is used to spend on Defense sector and central govt schemes which Politicians announce like "We did this and we did that" .

Dwfense is just an example, you can add any other thing such as pension etc also instead of defence.

It definitely feels like it.

Currently an OCM Associate with 2.5 YOE in consulting & 1 YOE experience in sales and going up for promotion to SA in May/June. Received a Senior Consultant offer from Cognizant that puts TC about 35-40% higher than current TC. Has anyone worked in the OCM practice at Cognizant / have any thoughts about growth, current TC vs offer, etc?

ISO tips on not thinking about salary/promotions/comparing myself to others at work. I’m pretty junior and feel like it is getting in the way of my productivity and I just feel crummy doing it.

So many Houston posts today. So many comp posts today. I hope y'all can get some #perspective. Be thankful for what you have. 🙏🏼

Have now worked entirely remote for over a year after having only worked in an office for a few months. It’s my normal and I’m far more productive and available from home than in an office. Anyone know of good companies or law firms that have embraced a permanent remote working model now?? If they’re remote but location dependent, I’m in the Chicago market.

(First ever post) I originally I joined this app to learn from others in consulting on a variety of topics (gender perspectives, comp, tips/ recommendations). Ever since downloading, I see more hatred and people making judgements on others with little context. Consultants are supposed to problem solvers but instead of people sharing perspectives I feel I’m back on Twitter reading threads that only create hate. Anyone else feel that way?
