10/12 Thread (General):
I recently received an offer from Microsoft for a Program manager internship. I just found out that it wasn't at the location (local) i intended it to be and I have to relocate to Seattle. This really doesn't work out for my logistically and I was wondering if its possible to somehow switch it to a remote position. Please let me know if anyone has been in this situation before id greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I think cruises are low rent. Would recommend one of the family beaches in Florida like Destin
Your can get a great beach house in the off season in rosemary or seaside (the beautiful little towns near Destin). Gatlinburg and smoky mountains should be beautiful that time of year as well and have lots of kid activities. And then mammoth cave in Kentucky has great hiking (you can go for miles in the caves) and ropes and zip line courses and it’s the same temp all year in there so should be nice and warm.
Ski or Disney
Go to Europe. I know it’s cold but many places are pleasant, very festive and reasonably priced as well that time of the year
