i have to go back to work after a week of pto... i've never felt this devastated in my entire life
I received an offer from Deloitte as a Consultant - the offer letter didn’t specify amount of PTO. Should I clarify this with the recruiter or is it standard at every level?
I wish we had an actual holiday party that wasn't at the office. Accenture is so cheap.
My firm is implementing an unlimited PTO policy so for those of you who’s companys already have it - do you like it, how does it work, and what is the max number of days that you would take off?
Anxiety during time off - I’m currently (& usually) worried about going back to work during the break. just anxious of all that I need to do. Any advice? I just want to enjoy this this holiday break
My contract has 4 week notice for leaving the job, and the new job I’m about to accept would like me to start asap (and so would I). How shitty is it to do 4 week notice with 2 of those being vacation? Wouldn’t want to burn a bridge but 4 weeks, jeez.
Tfw youre going on vacation but still have a crap load of work unfinished and a lot more new work waiting for you when you come back... And of course I’ll be thinking about that while on “vacation”..
Took PTO to make it a four day weekend...first few hours back today and I already feel stressed out, anxious and like I want to quit. Burn out or just advertising?
To all the 🐠 who serve/d our country and their families - thank you for this holiday weekend. 🇺🇸
Any big companies offer same pto time as big four? I find myself at a smaller company struggling to get to even enjoy my pto as I’m always on
Can any of the MDPs / Partners on this bowl ensure that Jaime and the rest of the MDPs join this bowl?? To ensure that the leadership can listen to any concerns being raised here. This is like an office level PTO
Is it typical in workforce implementations for the directos to all go out of office for weeks? Or is this just because it’s summer and vacation season…
Dear Leadership: No, I will not cancel my vacation to continue to drive a broken plan. If "optics" seems like the best lever to pull, it is clear to me why we are where we are. #workSmarter
When your S.O. has a bad day and stress bakes some cookies, you eat 2 of them and say they're great even though they're way overcooked and stiff. Everyone enjoy the holiday weekend!
Dumb question but if I’m taking PTO Friday-Monday, is my end time at 12AM on that Monday or Tuesday on outlook?
Taking some time off. Need some book recommendations. Some light interesting non-fiction. No self help or management books. Just interesting topics that won’t make me think about work.
I hope most of us can agree on the below as fellow Americans: -Any group wanting to cause harm to people or a specific group of people have no place in our country. -Clearly our country is hurting and needs productive dialogue at the community, state, and national level from both sides. -One side is never right. MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN are also rarely right. -We’re in dire need of empathy and care for one another regardless of political views, race, geographic location, gender, etc.
Started working for an agency during the pandemic and found out that they cut associate salaries for those who started during the pandemic. I’m doing the same amount of work and getting paid less just because I started during the pandemic. Seeing as the agency has won more business and things are pretty much back to normal, would it look bad for me to ask for a raise?
Out of curiosity, when do people take internship experience off their resume (in terms of years after college graduation)?
Has anyone here worked with a team of remote engineers in Eastern Europe? Anything I should be aware of in terms of cultural differences or behavioral norms? I’m US-based
Class of 2020 graduate. I am working in-house in technology transactions/commercial but I’ve been trying to get my foot in the door in the privacy/cybersecurity area. I have my CIPP/US and I’m in all the Privacy groups/bookclubs/etc with my bar association. Still absolutely no luck when applying for positions. Any suggestions? Would you recommend getting a privacy analyst role first to get some experience?
Im going to an interview for a junior position at a small ad agency. What kind of questions should I be asking?
Applying for MBA programs in Fall 2021. When I matriculate I’ll have 7 years of healthcare consulting experience. Will this give me a competitive advantage when I apply and will I be among the oldest students by far?
Folks invited to interview at Ross, have you gotten the email with the interview sign up details yet?

Yesterday was a good day. I was really impressed with myself. I woke up at 5, practiced dance lessons, did two water colors, made breakfast and tea, got to work by 10, put in 8-10 hours of solid work and then came home. It’s been ages since I painted or danced. However today, I slept till 7:00, did not work out or have food. Still got to work by 10 and did 8 solid hours of work. Some days are good and some are just okay. And that is okay. Trying to build on my good days and we all can. :)
If two Delta Diamonds are on the upgrade list and have purchased the same fare class at the same price, what would be the next tie-breaker? (Assume no certificates are being used)
Any perspective on m&a with regards to the current situation? Is M&A going to be the most hit? What are people and especially people on Visa doing as backup plans?
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
