I am 6.5 years experienced i am relieved as senior software engineer from my last organization and the company I joined gave me senior analyst position and when I joined in they gave me designation as just engineer it feels like demotion to me some of them say skills and work experience and monetory growth matters not a title and some say otherwise what are your opinion?

I'm a 3rd-year corporate transactional attorney with a private firm. Around 50 attorneys, which is as big as it gets for the state I'm in. I've become disillusioned with the partnership track career path fairly quickly and don't think it's for me. Before taking a large pivot and leaving the law entirety, I've thought about going in-house.

(1) Are there any downsides to going in-house too early?

(2) Would it make it more difficult to go back to private practice if I don't like that experience?

Do you disclose when you were promoted on your CV? I’ve been as a assistant manager for over a year but have just been ‘promoted’ to manager. Have been doing the same role for the entire time… only thing that changed was my official role title. Do I need to split this out into two roles on my CV?

Would ideally like to keep as one optically to avoid having to ‘spend more time in the manger role’… as I’ve been doing that role for a year now and keen to move on!

So I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant for the past 9 months. I've worked in restaurants for the past 6 years science I was 16. Now I'm 22. I went to a trade school for media and film. I got a dream opportunity to work in the field making about the same or 10% more. I told myself the only reason I'd leave this company is for this type of job. Should I take the chance at this job and leave the restaurant that is on the rise and growing?

Got a MBB offer as a lateral. End goal is FAANG. Friends at MBB say placements out of their firms into FAANG is as rare as anywhere else. Truth to that statement? Don’t think it’s worth the reset if it’s still nearly impossible either way…TIA

After a long and extensive interview process (2 months & 12 rounds of interviews) I finally heard back that they are very interested in offering me the job. My Current base is $135k (in NJ) and my ask is $180K (in NYC). But base comp ceiling for the position grade is $165k and they are willing to offer one time payment to make up for the gap between the offer & the ask. Any thoughts? The role has very upward potential in next couple of years.

Deciding between LEK and a much smaller firm doing mostly DoD consulting work. LEK offers $40k more (mostly in bonuses) than smaller firm, but smaller firm works less than 50 hrs/wk. Seems like both would be friendly workplaces. I'm having a hard time deciding. Any advice?

Why do I get an auto-decline from MBB? I usually get to the online/HireVue interviews for every other company (finance, consulting). I have a high GPA and a lot of research experience in popular fields (ML/DL). But for MBB I get a decline the next day. Is it because my undergrad is from abroad and non-target? Am I missing resume keywords?
