Stay away from Eisner everyone I know who worked there hated it. Don’t know much about citrin.

What’s the common complaint regarding working at this place ?

Definitely not Eisner lol

Citrin if I had to pick

Citrin. I’ve had several friends over the years who really liked it. I know a partner there as well and he’s delightful. I considered going there years ago, but at the time the pay was much lower than Big 4.

I replied to a senior manager that works at Eisneramper, and it looks like my response to their question of why I tell people to avoid that place got deleted. I’ll tell you from my experience, there are senior managers and senior associates who are very condescending and are borderline walking HR violations. The best part is.. the firm knows about these individuals and know they drive away employees but refuses to do anything about it. So it should make you wonder.. do they really care about their employees?

like

Not sure which office you are referring to but I'm very shocked to read this.

Just come to crowe

like

Eisner, for tax is better than Citrin.

like

I would never goto Eisner

like

Do you mind sharing your experience on why you would never go to Eisner ?

I would point out both firms had private equity buy a majority stake, which I don’t like the idea of Personally. if I want to make partner in a firm I want the ownership and control to be with the partners.

Technically there isn’t a shortage because not everyone CAN be a partner, but I think there needs to be enough professionals that WANT to become partner so there are enough people that stay even with an expected attrition rate. How many upper level people in large firms are doing lower level work because not enough people are staying?

Been at EisnerAmper my entire career and I love it. Your career is honestly what you make it.

Yes

Is there anyone who can someone refer me to a associate product management position. I hold a 1 year 7 months of experience.

Reason of switch:
Major reason for getting a product role- it has always been a dream to me, this profile suits me, hence I've applied, other reasons, My life has led me to be a creative thinker, being always curious and need of constant learning. The first reason for change is I'm not getting challenged in a way I want to, where I could be creative and innovation.

I think I had a new job in the bag until I told them it was very important that I still get to see my kids at night. Basically saying I need flexibility. Never heard back...

I work on a small 4 person remote team- 2 peers and our manager. My 2 peers were recently hired and started in February this year. I actually trained them since I have held that position (Manager). I have been at the company for 6 years and moved to a Sr. IC role. My skip-level was previously my direct manager. My manager told us about a plan to meet up in person this summer for team building. It slipped in a meeting today that everyone but me is included in going. More in comments.

I have to travel to my client every week and the client’s office is attached to a very nice hotel that’s $250 per night. There’s a hotel right across the street that’s $150 per night.. it’s alright, but not as great. Should I be mindful about how much I’m spending or should I blow up the budget until someone says something?

A recruiter said : "if you see a job posting you like, let me know and I'll see if I have any connections" ... How do they benefit in this case? Would I have to give them some sort of commission?

Have virtual interviews tomorrow and Friday (both with same company) - I know 150% if I got an offer, I would not accept. Had a ton of coaching meetings this week regarding a different offer I’ve been considering and I don’t want to leave my current place of work. Cancel tomorrow and Friday interviews or no cancel and potentially get an offer and decline? (I am fairly busy so biggest opportunity cost is my time and having to wfh to do video interviews during the workday)
