Elon did something dumb and he couldn’t stop it from coming out, so he turned to Twitter and pandered to the most gullible population he could think of to save face.

So the author of the piece about the sexual assault settlement asked Musk for comment before printing(you know, good journalism). Musk then went on Twitter to try and get ahead of the story and decided to insulate himself in a group that would never hold him accountable(anything to own the libs).

He knew the story was coming out, so turned Republican the day before to then get 🐑 to come to his defense and say the media is out to get all conservative voices.

The GOP has a persecution fantasy that Musk is tapping into. He is using manufactured outrage to get a group of sheep who think they have something in common with a South African emerald mining heir to come to his defense.

Op - insider contacted him for comment and then he came out as a ‘Republican’ like 30 mins later on Twitter so that people like you would circle the wagons and come to his defense, right?

If end goal is that we stop talking about Elon every day, a great first step would be for his cult to stop defending every last thing he does or says.
The guy sucks. And here’s a hot take: electric cars and commercial space travel would have happened anyway. He invented neither and didn’t even re-invent the electric car as he likes to say.
We don’t need to idolize his achievements. It’s not like he invented the personal PC, iPhone, Amazon, Facebook, google, etc. People act like Tesla is an ultra important high tech company and yet its tech only benefits a relatively small number of people.

😂 one of us is in denial. check back in, in a couple years and see if Tesla has displayed anywhere near the staying power of the great companies. right now, it’s been one of the great bubbles. calling it one of the great companies and bragging about the market cap after a couple good (and likely unsustainable) years and massive hype is just totally divorced from any real business understanding. same with your claims about space x. fun to idolize EVs and space though i know!
short sighted idolization and springing to defense when you don’t really know what you’re talking about is a worse form of denial. sorry if you bought your bags too late or have invested too much mental capital defending him online to turn back now or something.
And nobody is pretending - Elon does not have many of the same qualities of the worlds renowned business leaders. He’s emotional, erratic, unfocused, and makes lots of bad and impulsive decisions. There are real business leaders, and then there are folks who play them on TV. You’re not the first person to have trouble telling the difference.
