Tutoring is definitely an ace up every engineer's sleeve. It isn't hard at all to find someone who feels intimidated by the whole STEM thing and needs a little encouragement. Not just children either.
YES, it is super easy to find quick freelancing gigs online that aren't all that labor-intensive, it's just that they require specialized knowledge. Careful about the school printers though, some institutions are really stringent about using them for non-educational purposes and the machines are usually in high demand

My side hustle was a computer repair business. I started it in college, and it helped me pay for my tuition and other expenses. It was fun.
