Have you ever used other EHRs? One day on any of them makes me yearn for Epic again....

now you’re starting to get it, OP.
the government has to regulate this. they have to force companies to share data. they have to force providers to share data as well.

Once real tech companies start investing in digital health over the next 3-10 years, Epic is going to be forced to change their approach on this rather quickly. Their day is coming.
Are there any real emerging options though ? Saw the latest move by Humana to work with Salesforce Healthcloud around coordinated care (not fully what Epic does but more robust care coordination ). Does it have any potential ?

Although Epic has its flaws, it’s the best in the business today and has been for years. For example, for 10 years they have had the top KLAS score for Overall Software Suite. Excited to see what competition brings, but I wouldn’t count on Epic going anywhere anytime soon.
Lol but have you worked with any of the other HISs? 🗑🗑🗑

Hospitals are reluctant to change, have small capital budgets and there is very little competition
Business people and programmers are clueless when it comes to clinical applications.
As a doctor that’s used multiple EMRs, Epic is by FAR the best and I wouldn’t want to ever switch to anything else.
Revenue Cycle Integration within their applications
Epic is definately not the worst imo. I've worked on Cerner projects and trust me, they would probably tell Epic to "hold my beer" for that crown. By far the worst client I've ever worked with.
