I have used it and it worked well for me. May also depend on how bad ur acne is….mine was minor. I did use Accutane in the past when my acne was terrible and it worked well for me.
Have you tried Spironolactone? It absolutely eliminated my acne in about 2 months or so
Dermatologist decides which treatments, not me. So did now it’s epiduo and oral antibiotic (doxycycline). He said if this doesn’t work then it’ll be accutane.
Yeah it did! I used it in combo with hormonal birth control. If you’re a woman, you’ll have to go on birth control if you go on accutane anyway, so it’s a good first step. Both cleared my skin up and I didn’t need accutane.
Careful with spironolactone if you have low blood pressure. Made me faint pretty badly, people thought I was having seizures…
It worked great for me. My derm prescribed that and Spironolactone for a few months to get my cystic acne under control. I still use epiduo to spot treat.
It worked great for me, but nothing is like accurate. The moment you stop using it the acne comes back…
Topical retina 0.05 has been the most effective for me.
Worked great. I actually switched to generic benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment and it’s worked just as well (and is way cheaper)
Watch out for bleached clothes/sheets/towels with it!
It worked for me when I was on BC but once I was off of BC it didn’t do anything 😑 just started accutane
Birth control
Best of luck in your skin care! Don’t be too disappointed if you end up doing accutane. I know everyone’s skin is different, but I went on it for 5 months and it did an incredible job! I’m more sensitive to sunburn now, but i still get compliments on how clear my skin is!
