Asking for a friend; but, in the world of non union digital content shoots, what are the meal period laws for crew on pre-light and shoot days? I always follow union rules to be safe and because it’s the bare minimum producers should do for their crew, but hearing about a production team not feeding their crews ANY meals and only feeling the talent and client is really getting under my skin, sounds illegal, and I want to get to the bottom of what the rules really are. I work with an alcohol brand that wants agency to handle buying their alcohol in stores or online and shipping them to production in Canada. I do not want the bottles to get stuck in customs and am trying to figure out the best way to avoid issues. I’ll need to send about 75 bottles.
