Recommendations for home office standing desk and chair? In process of getting a house and will have space for an office. Thinking an L desk style but not sure if that works with standing option.
does anybody know how to be an expatriate in big4? My understanding is you will still get paid based on your home office location(e.g. US) but being stationed abroad.
Has anyone purchased a whiteboard for their home office ? Any specific brands you’d recommend. White board wall paint seems to have fallen out of favor - does anyone have experience with that ? Thanks
I am sure it’s been asked 100 times but humor me please. Best office chair to add to the good I’m doing with a stand up desk? Lol. Would love to stay in a reasonable range if possible (800 max)
Anyone have a good office chair recommendation? Really not trying to spend more than $150 but willing to go to $200 if there is a really good recommendation. Thanks!
What are some complexes you would recommend for a spacious 1br 1ba (or 2br 1ba) under $2K near the battery. I’m a young professional thats permanently remote and needs space to set up a nice home office.
Let’s talk office set ups. I am looking at a Uplift standing desk as my big splurge because I have back issues, and the room I work in has horrible lighting so I’m considering some sort of selfie light ring type thing that I can clip to my monitor. Anyone have feedback on either the desk or a light they like, or any other ergo friendly home office hacks you’ve found helpful?
Has anyone switched to a standing desk? Do you feel more productive? Was it worth it? Did you switch at the office or at your home?
Health question: Does anyone else suffer from nerve pain in their butt/hips from sitting all day? My research tells me it’s piriformis pain. It means my sit bones are irritating my butt muscle, which irritates my sciatic nerve. It can be excruciating and hurt even when I stand. I bought a fancy seat cushion for my office chair, and I have a standing desk. Nothing helps. The pain has been around for about a month. Anyone else?? What did you do?
Any ergonomic chair recommendations?
Anyone meet clients at home? I'm an RIA, and my home office is much nicer than my office. Unfortunately it doesn't have a separate entrance and you have to walk through the living room/kitchen.
Had a minor back injury (should heal on its own) but I don’t think sitting in an office chair all day is helping. Any ideas to make it more bearable?
Which portable standing desk converters do people have and recommend. I live in a tiny NYC apartment so use my dining table as the office during the day but need to put it away at night.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a product that helps with potential carpal tunnel? I realize we don’t always work in the most ergonomic environments and I need something to help, esp. w/ travel.

Does your agency do raises and reviews at the same time? How often do you expect to see or ask for a raise?
My bipolar father has ruined our whole family's lives. He won't take his medicine, keeps having episodes, and only cares about himself. I only feel hatred when I am around him or see his face. He has made us miserable. I don't know how to deal anymore. He doesn't even know me anymore, he doesn't know any of us, but will put up an act in front of the world. I don't know what having a dad looks like. Apologies for the vent.
I have 2 years entry level consulting experience and specialize more in CPQ/Salesforce. Debating if I should stay and get promoted or try and exit for an industry job? What can I apply for? Are there government/healthcare jobs that use cpq/Salesforce? Will they pay 120k+ for someone like me?
Y’all my boyfriend recently started regularly picking up the house and helping with laundry. I know this is just “meeting expectation” but the fact I didn’t have to ask is just bringing me so much joy. 😭
Was lucky to get a job shortly after being laid off. Work’s not hard but feeling burned out cause of bad process, meaningless jobs on top of the pointlessness of everything happening. How you coping?

Considering an offer where equity is part of comp and vests immediately. Does that mean I get to keep whatever I earn equity wise even if I leave after 1-2 years, even if I don’t have access to it for a longer period?
Last night I was looking through pictures on my phone. I was such a happy kid and young adult and even after joining the firm I’m at I was happy for 2ish years…..the past 4 have been awful and depressing though. Man I wish I could go back to that time and do things over.
Thoughts on leaving PA primarily due to the metrics based culture (utilization, dtc, use of X digital tool, revenue, margin, etc). I find this aspect of PA stressful and exhausting but not sure if this is something you just get used to. Currently a manager and seems like the metrics just change over time / don’t get easier.

So I’m trying to buy a house next year if the market calms down a bit. In North Nj area so it’s expensive here. Anyone have any idea how much of a mortgage I’d get approved for? I’ve seen emails come in for like low amounts (like half what a house is worth here) how’s this work? How much of a down payment should I expect to have? Wife and I make around 170k pretax. We also have a few IRAs from old jobs that we were planning on pulling from for first house since it’s penalty free. Suggestions?
