I used to work as an agency recruiter and now work as an hr coordinator. People dictating emails that they otherwise could just send themselves. Honestly wtf is this? It takes less time to just write something. It often doesn’t even feel like a didactic method, just a way to hide under more junior associates. There is a senior who does this constantly, over the phone, and it’s just ducking intolerable. Even with emails directed at them, I get a call that then tells me to respond and write back X. It can be such an insufferable thing that just kills time.

Found myself in a conversation with the branch manager (white male pushing thru his late 60's) about holiday decorations. I just told him how I've been directed by corporate to keep the winter holiday decorations as non denominational and he nearly exploded.
