Thoughts on Locust Walk? What is its reputation?
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Separate question, but how do people manage to get offers all around the same time so that they have time to compare them? Even applying at the same time, some are fast and some are slow. Do you say no to the fast ones and hold out/hope for the slow ones?
How long did they give you for extensions?

sounds like S& vs Bain
Depends on your family situation and how you look at a job, whether you get a lot of enjoyment from working or if it’s just a means to earning income. A sounds great if you want a nice income and would enjoy having the WLB not minding the mundane work. To someone who enjoys a challenge from a career, either B or C sounds better to me, especially with the known career growth which it seems like you could take back to FAANG afterwards if you want that WLB in a few years

C, then B, then A
Rising Star
C seems slightly better than B.
C vs. A really depends on what you value in terms of WLB (A), nature of work (Depends), and comp (C)
A if it’s Apple or Google
Otherwise C
Couple follow ups:
A) is meta (not google or apple)
B) are exits to PE ops feasible at this seniority
C) also leaning into this the most
Meta is a sinking ship unless you are aligned to Instagram or WhatsApp.

PL/EM make that much? 😳
I think C makes the most sense as well

SC2 that would be PL2? Also you’re interviewing for that as sc lateral? I’m no longer there but that’s pretty wild
