Seems low tbh, especially at the PL level
How many yoe is this ?
I left about your tenure and my offer was $190k, 25% target bonus (up to 33%) and $110k equity/year. The equity was notably higher than other offer because the company is small and the equity has a real downside (as well as upside)
I am in a coastal city but the CoL is materially lower than SF. If you are looking outside of finance, pharma, or tech, you might need to compromise somewhat on comp. Most of my peers were targeting $300k if they were staying on the coast. Titles also mattered.
That is low, move onto the next one.
How are u justifying your two years in business school as qualified experience? I’ve never heard of that. So you have two pre and 2 post MBA.. 250-300$ comp seems unreasonable w yoe
Current: first year PL/EM in MBB. Is it a decent offer? Presently in Mid Atlantic region
Lot of negative reactions so thinking of passing this off.
Given my tenure, what would be a good TC in a high COL area?
It does make a difference though as to your overall tenure. It would be very difficult to get $300K if you’re a 2-3 year BA->EM (like at McKinsey) in my perspective.
I would agree that at an EM level, I would take anything less than $300K. For context, I have about 4 YOE and it’s pretty easy to get around $200-220K total comp from Google/FB etc. with 6 years of experience (assuming 2 pre, 2 MBA, 2 post MBA for EM), I’d expect my comp to grow to about $250K.
*wouldn’t
