I’ve an offer from an established company trying to create a new data science team for their business. I know that I’m going to be one of the individual contributors in the team for the work we’ll be doing.

I’ve been undervalued by last company(10 LPA) and this new company is giving me 14 LPA (in hand). I’m not too happy with the pay. But the opportunity for learning and growth looks good to me. I’ll be a deputy manager after being a SW engg.

Do I still look for better offer?

I am in-house (not agency), but I really like one of our account contacts at the agency we use and would love to try to recruit her, but am feeling like maybe this is unethical?? We gave notice to the agency in Dec that we’re taking everything in-house in Apr.

Can anyone anyone help with a salary range for a senior E&S UW. 5 years of experience. Interviewing but don’t want to sell short for my salary expectations.

I currently work in digital marketing and am thinking of trying to shift over to data analyst type role, but would need more education/experience. Would a certificate from Coursea/Google for their data analyst program be taken seriously? Or do I need to look into certificate programs at universities?

On linkedIn, does showing your promotion to SWE after almost 3 years as associate SWE end up looking bad on you because you didn't get promoted quickly? It should I just list it as 3 years SWE and ignore leave out the old associate title.
