As in, living in a van down by the river? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Xv2VIEY9-A8
SM1. That’s encouraging.
lol, it would be more like hotel life. I’ve def heard of folks who work in Silicon Valley doing this.
I will say I know a big4 partner that lives on a boat. It’s more like yacht / marina life.. and features utilities, facilities and a fixed address.
Never a van but I've been literally homeless for long stretches twice in my consulting career. Its definitely doable.
🙋🏻♀️ I have been for a little over a year. I love it and plan on keeping this life for a long long time.
Wait how do people do this? Do you just stay at hotels? Or crash on friend’s couches?
So I fly to client site and stay in a hotel M-Th then fly back to my van and go explore on the weekend.
Yeah, i sold everything, rented out the last room in my (primary) house and just lived on the road for a year at a time, i'd swing by my home town and re-stock the suitcase every 6-8 weeks, couch surf with a buddy. I'd either flex travel somewhere or just stay in my hotel over a weekend. I once had the same room at the Westin St. Francis for 6 months. It was great. My (personal) expenses were well under $1k/mo, it allowed me to buy houses number 3 and 4 in cash. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't feel like they have to have a fixed social circle.
