For a project, I would like to program something with a back end and a front end. It should be easy and focused especially on analytics. This is what I wish the tool would do:
- import excel/csv configuration table
- calculation & analytics (sas/r/python style)
- export csv
- allow for visuals (bar charts etc.)
- it should work on/ offline and should be able to be executable without having specific software installed

I was thinking R shiny style. Do you have suggestions/ ideas where to start?

Any advice on pivoting from film/commercial production to agency (in toronto)? Asking for a friend. They have a 2-3 years of experience but are finding the work really unstable/inconsistent and just generally incompatible with their mental health (overnight shifts, etc). They’re aware agency is really busy/a grind too, but think it would be a better fit. They’re also exceptionally extrovert and would be excellent in any sort of client facing role. Does anyone have any advice/experience/thoughts?

Does anyone else just feel kind of…dumb? I’m constantly impressed by how articulate, strategic and smart my coworkers are, even more junior creatives. Meanwhile I have a hard time finding my words, can do almost zero thinking on the fly, can’t focus or understand abstract thinking, and am super awkward socially which makes client interactions…just embarrassing. Not sure how to overcome this but I feel it getting worse with age (mid-30s). Help?

How is that the pay of a recruiter is higher than certain client facing SC's? Ridiculous!

Choice between joining MBB at experienced pre-MBA level or doing MBA then joining at post-MBA level, which would you choose? Latter more expensive but more network /brand?

Has a promotion ever affected team dynamics? For instance, someone gets promoted ahead of their peers. Do you think it’s hard for a smallish team to accept the new promote and their new responsibilities which may include managing their former peers?

I need some inputs on if I should pursue a MBA. Goal that I would use MBA for is getting into VC, only a undergrad internship in that space, or doing a search fund and like micro PE. I would consider corporate VC too.

Alternative is to focus on meetups to meet founders, getting a better job and hit the accredited investor status so I can invest with angels.

Undergrad was a top business school, so I feel strong with finance and other functions.
