Got an offer from Accenture for Manager position. I am currently making 112K. How much raise I can expect or ask for? I was told 10-20% would be there but that does not sound much to me. Thoughts?

Recently laid off from KPMG audit after 3 years. I’m on an H1B so odds are tough. If anyone could help me with a referral to a transaction services/restructuring role at another services firm or middle market bank, would be grateful. I know it’s a long shot but thought it’s worth posting.
Does anyone have a standing desk mat they recommend? I have a large L desk that is convertable and looking for one thst is comfortable to stand on but could also have a chair role over it for when I'm sitting
Fellow Fishes - How did you all deal with failure in your career. I was ambitious and smart. I was in IBM and considered to be one of the best of my class. I was fired and haven’t really found my way. I don’t know what to do anymore. 3 years after the fact, I am still at an entry level position. I hate myself for letting things get this bad but I don’t know how to get out of this perpetual cycle. I tried working my ass off but have not been able to shake off that unfortunate past.
What are the exit opportunities for big 4 M&A tax? Any chances to go to investment bank M&A or retiring as a big four partner is the best scenario?
Director: "I want you to play the director role for today. Should be fun. What do you think?" Me: "sure" 🤓🔫
Sorry very new to this. I’m considering opening up Roth IRA with Fidelity. What are some Fidelity equivalent of VOO/VTI/SPY or any other popular ETFs mentioned on this bowl? TIA!
Just got invited to take the internal revenue agent assessment for an IRS revenue agent position I applied for, does anyone have any insight as to what to expect?
I'm on a contract position and it's due to end. I asked my boss if they want me to stay and their answer was yes but we have to confirm with HR for budget. I've followed up twice but haven't gotten a solid commitment yet. It ends In late August and I'm wondering what else I can do. I don't want to be shit out of luck but don't want to seem disloyal by applying to other jobs.
I have a standing offer with Accenture (AFS). Due to coronavirus, the recruiter told me they are pausing staffing of external people like myself while they take care of internal people on the bench. My recruiter said he would touch base monthly during covid, but usually I’m the one to reach out to him. We haven’t spoken since mid March, so should I reach out? I totally understand if they’re still in the same position as before and nothing changed since mid March in terms of hiring.
Hiring account roles from AE to Director. HCP and DTC offerings (including tv). DM me for more info.
In these times, if your referral bonus is $1k or less for seasonal employees you are asking for: 1. Employees who put in work to refer people that end up negotiating a part time option don't work on referring anyone else. 2. If the potential new hire gets an offer, employees have 0 incentive to convince them to accept it. This can even lead to them giving negotiation tips which get the new hire a $5-10k higher offer. They may even recommend accepting a diff firm's offer straight up.
Guy behind me in the group 1 line to board the plane - "are you group 1?" - no asshole, I'm just standing here to be a total inconvenience to you. STFU and go to your exit row seat.
Share your experience on last month at your job before exit. What are some things to do?
Attorneys with the firm often send firm-wide emails advising of in house openings with a corporate client, and solicit recommendations or resumes of qualified candidates. Usually the client contact is a hiring manager for the position. How do I show interest without completely shooting myself in the foot? While I ultimately do want to exit the firm, I also don’t want to be openly broadcasting my intent to leave by telling the firm attorney(s) that I’m interested. Thoughts?
Currently a Senior Consultant and planning to apply at McKinsey and Bain. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to provide a referral?
Is change management a skill set used by industry? I want to position myself to have options in a few years, but I just don't see that as being an FTE function.
I have managed and implemented Oracle projects for the last 10 years. I am a PMP, CSCP and PSM certified. I am looking for a change with a salary of 150,000. Any recommendations?
Wondering if other districts have taken away duty free lunches for teachers to supervise lunch in the classroom to provide social distancing.
Genuine question: What are the most common exit options at Google BizOps? (1) For internal transfer to PM, those teams seem to prefer to hire Google engineers. (2) For internal transfer to Chief of Staff, why those teams don’t promote their own Strategy & Op folks? (3) For BizOps internal promotion, there are not many Director positions. (4) For leaving Google, I don’t know where people usually go… Please share your thoughts / correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks!
Hey Mates I'm working in pretty good fintech firm. I'm in my 30s with 2 kids and they are calling everyone to office by January I want remote job and would never want to live in any city again. Wondering which route to opt? 1. Start investing in open source and build a profile, find freelance jobs on upwork/Fiverr Or 2. Start giving interviews in remote jobs. FYI I'm terrible at interviews and spoken communications. Please provide your inputs. I want to work remote with good pay.
What’s the usual compensation for an Associate at BCG? Currently work at a Big 4 (1.5 years of experience) and am in the interview process
Does it look bad if you exit right after a promotion? Waiting to hear, but I think I’m moving on whatever the outcome.
Teachers, how long do you think it would take you to get back into the groove of teaching once all students return to the classroom?
What’s the ideal mix of workplace flexibility and discipline? Looking to take my team to the next level, and while we want to preserve remote work and “as-long-as-it-gets-done”, we want accountability
Got a verbal offer from a big 4 a month ago, discussed salary expectations 3 weeks ago, still no offer letter. Firm has to let me know it should be coming soon. Are these normal timelines?

Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?
I heard you speak at the ad age small business conf. where you said you didn’t have a client yet. I was wondering how did you get your clients? Previous relationships? They sought you out? Search?
Can’t decide between Cornell’s Metro vs. Americas EMBA program. They both seem to be great and offer an Cornell MBA upon graduation. Americas costs about 155k while the Metro NY costs 205k. Both programs are 60 credits in different formats. I can’t seem to understand the difference in price. I like the Americas program because of its flexibility (can attend from selected cities across the US so I would not be stuck in NY). I like the Metro NY for the in-person classroom environment.
I'll be joining the consulting world very soon and am thinking about getting a new personal credit card. My meal expenses are per diem so I'm thinking about the AmEx Gold card as it has 4x points on dining. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on personal cards for consultants and how to go about my corporate card as well! TIA
If I eat a pint of Ben and Jerry's Milk and Cookies ice cream every night but eat 100% healthily otherwise and exercise moderately, is that ok for my health? My life is in your hands.
Required Education. Almost all jobs nowadays requires a bachelor’s degree (rarely substitute by experience). If an applicant has all the job requirements, but lacks the education, are they automatically disqualified or filtered out? How flexible is HR with education if it is a requirement?
I received a verbal offer to go to a B4. It’s been about a week since then. They haven’t gone entirely dark, but how confident can I be that they’re not stringing me along, and that they may cancel?
