Every female in my office has bought a Stanley and talk about it all the time… what’s the hype? Is this happening in yalls offices?

I don't know. Is it some kind of status symbol now? Was the Yeti cup hype this bad? What's so special about them? They just look like small trashcans with handles to me. They really aren't any different than the other tumblers that are probably sitting neglected in the cabinets now.

Honestly I think it's a fad. It's just a cup. And new reports show they have lead in them, so there's that lol.

Idk the lead stuff still kinda freaks me out

I have a thermoflask from Costco that keeps my drinks cold overnight. The new ones in the store come with a removal handle so now I’m calling it my Fanley (fake Stanley).

Love a good dupe!

I will say most of the women in my office have bought one, but I don’t hear any discussion about it. I don’t get the hype either. Although I have one, I just needed a new tumbler that was guaranteed not to leak when my cat inevitably knocked it off the table, but still had a straw. and I liked that it kept drinks cold even overnight, which none of my water bottles do. If I didn’t have cats and/or drank faster, I would be perfectly happy without it in my life

I have the one w the flip up straw too and it doesn’t leak

I still have my Yeti and I’m good lol

Haha I gave in and bought one because it was in the sale section at REI and I needed a new water bottle. It is by far the best one I’ve owned, so I get the hype. It’s the only way I’ll stay hydrated.

I saw a video where a car started on fire, completely burnt up and the ladies Staney still had ice in it, I think. Some exec at Staney made a reply video saying they will buy her a new car. Not sure if that's what the hype is about or something else.

I dont get the hype either but I got myself a hydronic and I’m a fan. It fits in car cupholders, has a straw that when closed does not leak - this is probably the most important feature to me, I like sitting on he couch and just have my water bottle on it as well not having to reach over to the coffee table. It was cheaper than Stanley cup too

No one in my office bought them. Thank goodness!

I'm remote so no idea what's happening at the HQ, but with all my friends I talk with, there is no mention of Stanley. It's a hype that I usually miss until the news or social media starts talking about it and then I go meh. Lol I have Waterdrop though, because I like their designs and drops for flavoring water since it's basically a compressed cube of herbs/fruit.

Are all MLMs really evil? Obviously the ones like Luluroe and such that you have to buy $$$ merch up front. But are there any that actually work well? I have friends who sell Amway (which I thought was evil), but they legitimately love what they do. And they're not -terribly- sales pushy like other people I've met. Curious if the MLM industry is shifting.

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.

I just finished my Masters at UT Arlington. I’ve been working for this firm for almost 3 years in uptown Dallas. I technically don’t have a title, obviously because I’m not license.
