Everyday in the evening I’m overcome by my need to have dessert. How do you deal with your dessert cravings? Do you’ve healthy dessert recos or recipes that you’ve use? Also, how do I deal with this? 😫

Sugar is a drug. Try to replace it with a more healthy option like fruit or some decaf tea

Try frozen blueberries as a dessert substitute (fresh berries that you clean/freeze, rather than a bag of frozen berries from the store). I’m a dessert addict, but frozen blueberries are so good and sweet enough that they usually satisfy my cravings.

I love frozen berries, but I don't think you need to buy fresh ones and then freeze them. Frozen food sold at the store typically has higher nutrient density than non-frozen, and it's cheaper! so this seems like a waste.

I deal with them with dessert. But I’m fat, so maybe don’t listen to me.

I’ve started using the “what can I add” vs “what can I take away” mentality. If I’m craving something sweet then maybe I’ll do a bowl of Greek yogurt with peanut butter in it (makes me feel like I’m having peanut butter ice cream) and the protein from the yogurt keeps me full. Or if I want chocolate then I do a smoothie or protein shake with cocoa powder in it. Things like this have helped me satisfy cravings while adding more nutrients and substance to my snacks so I don’t just keep eating and eating

Stop eating sweets and you will stop craving/enjoying them so much.

Your gut biome becomes accustomed to what you're putting into your body- recent research has demonstrated gut flora drive cravings.

Chew gum, eat fruit, drink a Coke Zero, eat 2 pieces of dark chocolate (not at the same time).

It takes a LONG time to get over sugar in your diet, something like 2-3 months.

In the meantime try brushing your teeth after dinner, drinking water or have a cup of tea instead. It's a bit of a habit to break. Saw advice on here about telling yourself not now instead of no and so weird but that's totally been working for me lately

Try licking a lemon. Kind of like brushing your teeth, but for me it's more effective.

likehelpful

Yeah but you don't have to sink your teeth into it

Change is always best with small steps. Have your dessert but reduce the portion consistently everyday.

I love sweets! I do trade for fruits and yogurt and granolas. Don't restrict yourself from the things you like its why all diets fail.

I take a small spoonful of honey and that usually satiates me.

Thanks! I’ve tried some of these suggestions and they’re really helpful. I’m replacing sweets with oats and milk for now. Hopefully I’ll be able to ween off of it soon!

I’m looking to get more work for my company. Wondering if any reps here would like to chat? Thanks!

I have a 4yrs of exp in analytics(SQL,python,tableau,ML) with CCTC 15(13.5 fix + 1.5 bonus).

Planning to stay here for atleast 2yrs.

Can someone please tell if the ask is too much/ too low / perfect for this work ex and industry?
I am asking for avg standards in industry, obviously I am aware of some people earning much more in same or 2-3 yrs exp also in some companies.

Additional Posts (overall)

Sometimes, if I’m woken up in the middle of a really deep sleep, it will take me a few minutes to remember basic facts about my life (like where I am, the name of my SO, etc). The rest of my memory is fine, but this seems a little odd - namely because I rarely hear of anyone else sleeping this deeply without sleep aids. I’ll bring it up with my doctor during my next check up, but I’d like to do some research first. Google yields nothing. Has anyone heard of this - or have ideas where to search?
