Student here, working on a project. Do you know of any consulting companies (of any size) that want to be mostly in-person after the pandemic? I’m writing I’m favor of hybrid work, just looking for examples of ones who won’t be doing that.Thank you!

A partner said on a client call that we really miss an associate I’m filling in for and that the team should be up to speed when she gets back. I can’t help feeling a bit slighted by that. I get that she’s much more senior (I’m a 1st year who started a couple of months ago) but I don’t think I’ve done a bad job at all. My first brief was spot on arguments wise and didn’t have much redlines. Am I reading too much into it? Should I check in with him to ask if he’s unhappy with my work?

While interviewing at other consulting firms or for industry, do you mention client names? I imagine it would be hard to keep a fortune 100 company anonymous when speaking about strategy work you did.

I’m unable to focus on work and I keep dropping the ball on some projects. I hate to put this on my personal life but I’ve experienced three family deaths (including a parent) and a death of a good friend all within the last five months.
