Diversity of thought is dying, and the breed of people who value it are being coined as all sorts of ridiculousness because they refuse to be told who, what, where, when, how…how to to think, what to feel feel, what they should want, what they should believe. Individuality is out of style, but this phony push for collectivity will implode b/c as humans, our egos always get in the way of groupthink (thank goodness for that, whether it’s something I agree with or not).

What’s the diverse opinion here? You shouldn’t have to wear a mask or get vaccinated? I feel like there is a mountain of evidence why that view is irrational, but feel free to have it. What I’m not interested in is having that diverse opinion turn into a token that lets you pick and chose which rules we all have to follow.

Why do people have no hesitation about giving up their freedoms for a virus that people are overwhelmingly recovering from?! Fully vaccinated people are contracting Covid and people who have had Covid and recovered are being forced to be vaccinated. Where’s the logic to continuing this push for vaccination???

likefunny

P1, do you see the reason for people who have had and recovered from Covid to still get the vaccine? How will it help with wrangling Covid if people who have had it, recovered from it, have the antibodies (which can be medically verified) are still being pressured to get a vaccine for a virus they already carry immunity to? Genuine question, and I’m curious to hear yours and other pro-vaxxer’s perspective on this topic.

Agreed. I can’t walk into a crowded bar with used needles taped to my clothes. In my back yard? Sure, go nuts. But when I choose to interact with other people - who are also people, and who also have rights - my own rights are subjected to some degree of limitation. At least as a concept, this is not new and should not be controversial in the least. Of course we can have robust debate on where the lines are drawn, and reasonable people can disagree on that. But to claim the very concept of curtailing individual liberty is somehow new is to be completely ignorant of our history.

Started as a baby legal assistant about ten years ago at a transactional firm - now the majority (seven years) of my experience is in litigation. I am wanting to move more toward transactional or in-house now. Am I basically starting completely over? I am well respected and sought-out in litigation, but I'm unsure of how to market myself in the direction I want to go with as much confidence. Has anyone successfully made this move?

Did anyone else adopt the new Florida Wonders curriculum? We just adopted it this school year, and I teach 4th grade. My team and I have not found a good flow, schedule, or whatever you want to call it. We feel like it teaches too many skills in one lesson, and we are not able to truly teach anything “deep” enough for students to master. Does anyone have any insight? What do you do? Do you like the curriculum? Why or why not? Would you be willing to share what you do weekly/daily? Thanks!

Our nanny takes my 7 month old out for one, sometimes 2, long walks every day (weather permitting). Love the idea of fresh air every day but its often for several hours at a time and he always returns home crying bc she's pushed him to his limit between feedings. She brushes it off saying hes just fussy which kind of irks me. Im also concerned that he's spending too much time strapped in a stroller. Is it reasonable to ask her to take shorter walks? Am I overreacting?

Anyone dealt with your sibling getting divorced and the SIL fallout? My brother is going though a divorce and it is ugly. She is saying he is “unfit” (he is not).
