This feels right

12 hr work days and dinner with friends? Wow! MBB is usually 12 hr at a minimum and usually an hr or two more than that. Work usually happens between 8 am to 9 pm (with an hr of break baked in), and can stretch to midnight on a few days (barring Fri if all goes as planned).

Agree with M2. DD is hectic even my MBB standards. DDs usually do not involve travel, but almost all other cases do. With travel, having dinner with family / friends becomes impossible anyway (can do Zoom time with family though if you end the day somewhat early).

How do you all manage to have a social life/maintain meaningful friendships? Is it possible or are you all usually burnt out by the time the weekend comes?

I fortunately met my wife before working here, and have a group of close friends who all live nearby and have as equally challenging careers - works out pretty well

Am I asking too much or shall I take the offer of 7.5 LPA

Hey guys, I just found this group and I’m hoping for some guidance/advice! I’m hoping to get into one of the Big 4s or MBB and finally got a few referrals once joining FB. I have no concept of normal professionalism, strategy for navigating the workplace and the real world in corporate USA,(cont. in comment)
