Absolutely tragic that we’re in a place where the nation’s top infectious disease has to say that about the Presidents strategy, but hard to deny it is a perfect synthesis when you see he is traveling state to state hosting super spreader events.

When things didn’t make sense, I asked some one. He can ask Dr. Scott Atlas or some one like that.

Opening up works if people keep distance and wear masks. Trump supporters, as evidenced by his rallies and angry videos in stores, won’t do it. They are keeping us in this perpetual state of purgatory instead of taking simple measures that would allow us to carry on with life AND limit the spread.

As a healthy younger person under 40, it's only dangerous if you are at risk due obesity right? Taking all folks with other pre-existing conditions aside, and taking out the elderly and stuff. Then isn't obesity really your own fault? So we can open up the economy and get back to work instead of staying home for the 1% with self inflicted risk factors around eating habits.

So I had a some friends who went to Cabo, and when they returned they all(7) took the covid test and came back positive. 5 days later, no one was showing any symptoms so they all went to another clinic and they took the test and they all tested negative. Don’t get me wrong, I wear a mask and take precautions, but when you hear stories like this, you wonder how much of these reported numbers are manipulated or incorrect.

Looking for advice on dealing with a boss who is extremely difficult to work for. For example, my colleague has worked entirely remotely since COVID hit in March. She had planned to make 2 trips out to her family out of state during the holidays (for Thanksgiving & Christmas) but recently requested to stay during the interim, when it looked like her apartment might be under voluntary evacuation due to wildfires. Said colleague lives alone and found it beneficial to be around family (cont below)

What are the benefits of working at a small law firm (about 10 attorneys) as opposed to a midsize firm. What is the difference in the amount of work/ billable hours, benefits (health insurance and PTO), opening doors for future career opportunities, etc. I have an interview at a small law firm, which is not what I ideally wanted, but I am considering it because of the COVID uncertainties. I appreciate any kind of guidance.

A goal of mine is to leave my PA firm (one of the big 4) this year. Currently in my fourth busy season. Do you think I should wait until getting promoted to senior and leave right after, or leave after this spring busy season? I am not super eager to get a senior position because with Covid and the inevitable learning curve, I don’t feel equipped to accept one. So I was thinking of applying for entry positions. Any advice?

Don’t know if it’s appropriate. So I’m WFH in a flat, new neighbours just moved in and whilst I’m having meetings in the morning, I hear neighbours enjoying their time DAILY (screaming, wall vibrations you know... ). It’s really distracting and embarrassing when I’m working and if my team hears it from their end. Never had this happening before. What to do? Advice please?

I’ve been told by my firm that I need to get a corporate amex card. I’m new to consulting- can I still use my own credit card to get the points and expense that way? If it’s the corporate card can I still get points for it also or does it only go to EYP? Curious to know if a corporate amex is even a good thing or the benefits for it. Thanks!
