Hey guys! I wanted to share #HoldThePRess which is an initiative, inspired by #PullUpForChange and 600 and Rising, holding the PR industry accountable for recruiting and cultivating Black talent at all levels. The website with more info and to sign on in support is holdthe-press.com and you can sign whether you are Black or an ally. Also, we are planning on presenting the asks and demands to agencies in the coming weeks and will be sharing via the website and on IG: @holdthe_press.

Thank you for posting here! We can’t keep this kind of thing inside or it kills us.
As the Big Book says, “wife or no wife, job or no job”. We stay sober no matter what.
By taking a drink you’re potentially making a forever decision based on a temporary feeling. It’s normal to feel bad in this situation, but it’s just the ego that’s bruised. The real you is fine and strong and will grow from this experience. In life we accept and we move on. Treat yourself tonight. Or better yet, go to an AA meeting. Or best yet, find someone to help. The key is to get out of yourself.
My current reality: Sunday is Father’s Day… my dad was killed in a car accident three years ago. Drinking won’t bring him back; all I can do is cherish the happy times we had together and do what I think would make him proud, which is to stay sober today and make the most of today, of right now.
Make the most of your now.
Thanks everyone. Went and cleaned up my wood shop and putzed around for a bit
This is great. I was thinking about you last night and hoped that you had found a distraction ❤️
Drinking won’t make you feel better. Treat yourself to a nice meal!
Go buy something cool.
You're in a tough situation but you know that that drink can only harm you and others around you. Don't give in, friend. Stay strong! This too shall pass.
Stay strong OP.
Can you do something outdoors - a hike or a walk in the park? I like to go to the river or the ocean to clear my head.
I’ll be thinking about you.
Hang in there, can you get to a meeting? Even an online one?
Stay strong op. Remember this will be you one day too. Do something outdoors. Call a friend and your sponsor. Know that everyday is better than where you were. Celebrate the fact you are improving and who you’ve become. Doing that will create great things in your life, as well you have kids that love you to death. You’re beyond lucky and remember the gratitude of what you have not what you don’t.
Look for a meeting. Better yet, go help someone. Service is the answer.
Stay strong man. Any way you can workout and take the rage out on the weights?
Don’t compare your insides to other peoples outsides, if that makes sense ; everyone else gave good advice here 😀
If you want to talk on the phone to distract yourself, DM me.
Please go workout and do anything active !!!! Jack-off multiple times (I’m serious) if you have too but don’t drink
