Exactly how much does it cost to do these fertility treatments, IVF or anything i haven't mentioned but which is related. I haven't gone through any of this processes but I'm curious. My sister is considering this and she is not even in the US. So if you all can share your experiences. What are we looking at...Also for those who have insurance, how much is covered?

IVF in the US will run $30k+ per cycle with no insurance. As SM1 mentioned, it varies a bit and those other things will add more costs but that’d roughly the range you’re looking at if your insurance isn’t covering anything.

I think every plan is different in terms of how much it’ll cover and at what clinic so she would have to check with HR. Your OOP max will be lower with a HDHP plan but it really depends if the plan even covers fertility benefits. I have a PPO and my IVF was almost 100% covered, other than copays and PGS. But I know that’s not always the case.

Where is your sister? You may check on the options in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. I am in Turkey on IVF and there are way too many patients from Europe and US since it is not that expensive here including the accomodation. By the way the doctors and private hospitals in Istanbul are well high quality. The cost is approximately 2500 dollars in Istanbul including the shots and medication. You may just want to check.

Of course

There are too many variables here to really help - country, type of insurance, IVF variants and add-ons. I’d suggest either reposting with more specifics or googling for your sisters country and insurance type.
In IVF costs to look for include:
Medications
IVF cycle - all the monitoring and prep appointments and ultrasounds
ICSI
PGS/PGT
Embryo storage costs
Embryo transfer costs

There are a lot of terms and acronyms here. FeetilityIQ is a good website to give lots of info and can explain what these mean.

Thank you. I will like look at the website suggested. But I'll like to get the cost in the US.

Depends but 1 cycle of IVF is 25-30k or so all in

Neither my husband nor I are good with change and when my husband and I went for the ultrasound he nervously asked "she's too sick to eat anything other than her vitamins and water, is it ok for her and the baby to go without?" Our doctor just smiled and replied "don't worry, baby takes" I don't know why but that was so funny to us. It kind of became our mantra as we navigate and move our life around that "baby takes," its made it feel more Us vs Change rather than Me vs Him. Thought I'd share

I am currently at a firm and received an in-house offer. Aside from main items like comp and big ticket benefits like PTO/health insurance/401k, what other items do I need to think about discussing/negotiating? Anything else I should consider?

I think my tiredness is cause by a mix of low hemoglobin, methotrexate, and surgery. Any advice on how to get my energy back would be appreciated.
