Like a portfolio review in reverse, creative leaders will share work they created when they first started out and critique it as if were a book that had just landed in their inbox. Then, tell us if they’d hire their younger selves knowing, and expecting, what they do now.

If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Doctors appointment. Even if they’re suspicious they’re not allowed to ask anything about it.

The bees thing. Tell them you need to go home to the nest.

Good old doctors appt - works great
Tell them you’re taking PTO
Take a sick day. Nobody will ask you for details.

Smile broadly, announce loudly "I won't be here tomorrow morning - I need to go on an interview" and keep smiling as you leave the office. Then, as they all stare at you with jaws dropped to the floor, stop, turn back towards them and say "I'm just kidding about the interview but seriously, I won't be here tomorrow morning."
Frame the response that you are looking for a new experience that magically aligns with the job description
They can’t ask you for a note?
