Anyone a black inclusion network lead for D&I?
For any POC creatives, have you ever had to explain to a recruiter why you're considered a diversity candidate? This was the first time I felt like I had to prove my diversity/minority background.
Partners, I'm interested in hearing your answer to these 3 questions and appreciate your feedback. 1) How old were you when you made Partner? 2) How old are you now? 3) What is your gender identity?
Any female partners/MDs here? How did you overcome gender obstacles? Any advice to those of us who aspire to get there one day?

Advise on handling rates negotiations with BIPOC and non-male creators? I always want to accept first bid and get uncomfortable when my bosses push to undercut rates (especially now when money is tight), because there is a whole history of BIPOC and non-male people getting paid less. I’ve tried to push back but struggle to articulate this to them. (For the record, I’m POC female and my bosses are white males, and race/gender convos are already very difficult with them.)
Do NOT claim you are "colorblind" in the workplace. 1. DE&I knowledge is now a core leadership competency. Colorblind claims will earn you the reputation of being DEI-ignorant at best & racist at worst. 2. Colorblindness within the context of workplace diversity is an obvious lie. You do NOT want to be painted as an intellectually dishonest leader. 3. Colorblind claims signal that you lack the leadership skills & vocabulary to have key conversations. Ask questions here, in this safe space.
Debating between purchasing a house in Powder Springs vs Woodstock area. We are very much inclined towards diversity which includes some desi crowd as well. Opinions about these two areas will be greatly appreciated. TIA!

The best private school (best on ranking) in my area is an all girls school (K-12). What’s the pros/cons of sending my daughter to an all girls school? My wife and I both grew up outside of the US and have not experienced single gender schools. Looking for any thoughts /personal experiences. Thanks!

Not in GPS, but I do get the emails from Dan Helfich and I just want to say he seems like a helluva leader. He comes across as authentic and genuinely invested in diversity and well being of his ppl.

The insurance company I work for outsourced a huge majority of my work to a third party, ontellus 🤮. I am not longer able to bill for NPNP, SDT and CNOS. I received 5 separate NPNPs from ontellus that either had the incorrect case style, signature block or date. I also sent out an email today after the 5th incorrect NPNP that started with “I am honestly starting to feel like I am on the show Punk’d and waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop into my office” continued in comments..

Ladies, I’ve noticed (pre-covid) that when men introduced each other or even when they enter the room they always shake hands with each other - even if they’ve known them/worked with them for months. But for myself, I may get a handshake on first day but never again. And I find it annoying like do you not think of me as your equal or do you think because I’m a woman I want a hug?? Has anyone else noticed this, or am I taking this the wrong way?

A question for Big 4 peeps - if you know the salary range in the group you wanna go for is 150k to 170k, how much should you say when the HR asks you how much you want? Is 180k too much to start with? (Didn’t want to start with 170k since they will only come back with lower I assume)
How many YOE does it take to make manager at Accenture? How many levels up is that? And is the level below M typically an individual contributor role or a team lead role?
