Just scheduled a meeting to go over an offer for a Senior Engineer role. When asked what I would need to make in order to leave my current job, I said at least $160k depending on benefits (I know I shouldn't have given a number).

I make a little over $145k now, plus stock options, a monthly home office stipend (fully remote), and your usual health benefits.

Assuming their benefits are comparable to my current position, have I given up all negotiation power by providing the initial number?

I've been practicing for 7 years. I have a very public interest resume and currently work at a class action plaintiff-side employment litigation firm. I'm tired of litigating and want to go in-house, but I feel that my resume/experience is going to make that really hard. I'd like to go in-house at a university or hospital, something that still feels "public interest" oriented, but I don't have the knowledge of those specialized areas. So I've been working at my company for 8 months now as a business analyst.
