Recently joined a consulting firm and have a corporate AmEx now. I am planning on paying the $95 fee to get the points from corporate expenses. I also have only a chase sapphire preferred. Is it worth picking up a Gold or Platinum card to pool all the points in one place? I eat out a lot and mostly redeem points for statement credit or the occasiaonl hotel room (use Marriott). My partner and I have been working at building a family. Our first pregnancy took us 5 years of fertility treatments, many tracked courses, shed tears over periods and one IUI.

We started our next step of providing a sibling and had 1 IUI with 2 good follicles, great counts, and we had so much hope. It didn't take.

I'm ever an optimist, and try to see the good in everything. This last one just took the wind out of me.

I feel I am kinda lost about to do next after working in the agency analytics world for 5 year. Definitely want to switch to tech as the pay is higher and the work looks more interesting to me. Couple of paths that I have been considering: data scientist, data engineering, product analytics. Would like to be in more technical roles for the next couple of years. And would maybe like to be in product manager/manager role after that. What type of role would be the next best step.

I need to figure out how to make a series of downloadable PDFs interactive. Things like checklists or expense tables that include calculation functionality. Client provided working examples but has no idea how they were created. Looked at acrobat but any active fields retain a light blue box, which I get is to indicate interactivity but samples from client are white. Indd seems to offer similar functionality but I can’t get it to work despite tutorials. Anyone have experience w a similar sitch?

I’m interested in the history of abbreviating million as “mm.” Google says it’s Roman numeral M for thousand. MM = 1000x1000 = 1 million. Sounds to me like someone lazily got around meters by adding an extra m and then reverse engineered the abbreviation.

Was laid off from D recently and have been interviewing primarily for strategy roles. Curious for any advice converting in final rounds. I have been through several at this point and not gotten the offer. Received very positive feedback from the teams about my performance but in each case they said it was very competitive and ended up going with someone with slightly more direct experience. Tough to go through several 6+ week multi round processes and not convert. Any help or advice appreciated!
