Can’t speak to B4 but I grew up as an expat and did a few years in China. Dad worked for an F500. They paid for housing, electric/utilities, and gave us a food allowance. Provided a driver too since we could not get driver licenses. Paid for one round trip plane ticket to and from China each year. Also covered kids going to international school.
Lots of other expat families had very similar packages so I’d imagine B4 would do something along the same lines.
If the move is strategic for the firm ie they need you there/ask you to go then I’ve heard the packages are much better than you choosing to go
Yup. Big difference in whether the firm asks you to go, or just lets you go do a rotation.
Housing allowance, COLA allowance, loss on sale of vehicle, one biz class flight per year, language lessons, spousal allowance, school for kids, no car/driver
I had a friend whose family was an expat in Singapore 10-15 yrs ago and they got a driver and nanny lol
Grew up in an expat family to Singapore in the late 90s. We got housing, private school, membership to a social club and a vehicle allowance. Idk the total splits, but my dad has told me that every expat cost the company between $500-750k. I’ve heard big 4 is less generous, and for secondees I know you are essentially sent over to work as an employee of that regions network firm. A director of mine told me when he first saw his UK salary he “thought it was a mistake”
