Expecting a manager level offer from Cognizant consulting shortly? Anyone have an idea what the range could be ( currently a SA at PwC)

I’d definitely recommend for you to NOT jump ship to CTS. Coming from someone who was at CTS before moving onto PwC

Sorry, I don't know the salary range. But, are you sure you wanna jump ship and go to cognizant? I hope you have done your DD and know what you're getting into. Good luck!

Going from PwC to Cognizant is not a good career move, in my opinion. I’d actually call it a step back (even if the title is a “step up”). If you are set on leaving, consider Deloitte, Accenture, or EY (or even KPMG).

This. I would normally advise people to run from PwC given my nightmarish time there but even I would rethink the CTS move. Significant step down in terms of work, opportunities, culture, long term career prospects and so on

I worked with Cognizant Consulting. You will need to make your own brand. Have a network of people to support you and mentor you. My partner was ex-Deloitte and he brought in some of that culture and energy with him. Agree with comments around lack of training etc. In general the company doesn’t invest much in you. I would say this though - if you are good, you will rise pretty past in CBC. Hope this helps

Cognizant is doing poorly at the moment, letting go of many of it's midlevel management per Indian news agencies. Regardless it is a trash company to work for, would never advise anyone to go there even in better times. Making it back to B4 or higher will be hard.

Man, these haters. Glassdoor the role and your city and add like 20k, or whatever is % wise appropriate, negotiate. See how it goes.

For the people who said reconsider Cognizant, can you give a few reasons? Would be helpful to hear

You're mostly treated as a 'resource', no coaching/mentoring program or attitude, minimal support resources to do well in your career or for client delivery. Afaik, vision for the consulting practice has been constantly changing. It's not a bad place, they are doing a lot to change the culture and perception of the company. But moving from big 4 might not be the easiest transition.

Umm - that’s an interesting move. Usually people move the other way. But good luck. Ask for 145k if tier 2 city and see what they say

Thanks everyone who responded. I am considering not taking them up on the offer given the resounding NO vote!

Maybe an even better analogy is you’d be going from a depth chart QB in the NFL making league minimum, to starting QB on one of the worst teams in the CFL making slightly higher than the NFL’s league minimum.
