… Hopefully it means a pay increase that’s more than 2-3%?

like

Yes, generally you would not also get a merit increase. Or they would say it’s part of your promo bump.

Looking at least 10% salary bump with a title change, also mean more responsibilities.

Yes. This is what generally happens when you are promoted.

Need some insight — I’ve been talking to a guy who is pretty cool and we vibe well. It’s still early stages so nothing serious, but sometimes I can’t tell if he’s being self-centered in conversation or just trying to impress me. What are some indicators I should be looking for and is there a good way I can raise this with him? For context, he definitely expresses interest in me and my opinions, but he’s often one driving the conversations and we end up mostly talking about topics he brings up.

Hey there. When is it appropriate to ask for a raise? Provided, of course, that you're doing a solid job. Cheers!

Chances for HBS/GSB? URM, 3.8 engineering from large state school, 720 GMAT, will have 3 YOE in consulting and on track for manager promotion by the time of applying. I’d say ECs are ok, but recommendations are strong. Already took gmat twice and don’t think i can feasible raise my score to match the school averages.

Realizing I lowballed myself moving to a big city from a smaller one in terms of salary. Now I’m up for a promotion... but average salary for that is 40k more - do I dare ask?! Or am I screwed?

Would you leave to help a former manager you were close build out a new competency in a less prestigious firm? Promotion, higher pay, remote.

Just venting. I feel like a horrible mom. My daughter is 20 months old and she has been on and off low key sick (runny nose, no fever) for the past three months since daycare. She has been waking up screaming all hours of the night and I’m so tired I can’t handle it anymore. My husband has been so great with her and holding her all night as needed. Whenever I see him handling her crying so well, I feel like I’m the worst as I just want her to stop. Loud noise is too much. Always feel like

We are a family of 4- husband, myself and 2 boys. We flew to Miami and came back. Other than being in flight and at the airport where we double masked, we were all by ourselves avoiding crowded places. Once back, my son got a cold, cough and slight fever too. We went to urgent care and they took a covid test, awaiting results. Now I’m super anxious and scared and feel stupid for exposing my kids. Anyone else in the same position ? Looking for positive vibes.

Trouble networking virtually; I started recently, 3 months ago. I am not sure how projects/internal moves work but I was wondering if anyone has advice on networking virtually? I am finding it tricky because I don't know anyone apart from my team & I can't view Talent Marketplace because I am on a billable project, not sure how long it will go.
