Making a list of options is helpful - and remembering that having options in my career is a privilege in itself. Plus the options may surprise you!
Then choosing an option or several and make a plan - start w something like a 3-5 year plan and work down. It helps me to have a goal to work towards each week. This can either be personal or career focused (e.g explore careers in x direction or do the homework for this class that will contribute to my advanced degree).
My entire 10 years has made me feel like that and I still don't know where and what am doing . I want to be in a role where I know what am doing , and am good at it. I have to reinvent myself right now everyday. Can get exhausting under the impostor syndrome and anxiety kicks in. 2 Identify what role you want to be
3 Work on upgrading your skills for your dream role
4 Actively look for it.
Nobody is going to do it for you. You have to feel so miserable that you have to act on the above 4. You are not going to go anywhere if you don’t know where you have to go. It is that hard and simple fact. I did this and got out of industry to join consulting. Figured I wanted to do strategy and was sick of industry politics. Good luck
