Has anyone had a client (agency) just not pay? If so, what steps did you take to get them to do it? They were already late before COVID and now they’re just not responding. Any recos?
Please stop discussing politics on FB. Let's go back to points, hookups on client site, industry jobs etc.🙏
I rolled off a project 3 months ago. They keep reaching out and asking me to help onboard new teammates to give them historical knowledge (it’s a long-term project). Do I have to keep doing this? Or does it get to a point where I can say I don’t have the time and there must be someone more recent who can help?
Also, how many times do you receive an “urgent request” before the client goes on vacation? Here’s this important stuff I need done, but won’t be around to answer questions until 2 days before due.
Colleague of mine got her rating yesterday- I'm positive she's going to quit and screw us over on this project because she is feeling some sort of way about the firm. Can't blame her but thanks mgt :/
I’m looking for copy and design freelancers for pitch and client work. Feel free to PM me your book. Big agency, good clients, hot food and clean bathrooms.
Any insight into Mastercard Advisors? Have a new grad opportunity there. My start date at a B4 strat got postponed so decided to interview around. I'm interested in data + analytics and would want to go into industry eventually, but conflicted because unlike BA programs at CapOne or Visa, you're still working for an external client. Feel like there will be a broader variety of projects in B4 and while I'm casually interested in fintech, I don't want to get pigeonholed in FS so early on
Looking for freelancers/contractors: - motion graphic designer - creative strategist/director - video editors - media buyers (paid social/search) Looking for a fulltime Senior Performance Marketing Manager. Client facing, plan media, manage small team, and roll up sleeves to execute in those rare instances. Will work alongside and report to Chief Growth Officer. We’re a specialized agency that works with growth stage startups (DTC, app) and corporate innovation products. DM me if interested.
What job opportunities exist outside of agency world for account people? I feel like all client jobs require an MBA or 5+ years of experience. I can’t see myself in agency world past 2 years from now
Wondering how freelance producers are doing in this climate. I was let go when a project ended. Have heard most agencies are trying to use staffers since clients are cutting way back
Moms specifically at Deloitte, I am 8 weeks pregnant and planning to tell the team right after July 4th weekend. I had a question on the administrative/procedural stuff - do I have to let anyone else outside or project team know? When do I have to start thinking about paper work? Who should I let know about the maternity leave?
Snow in NYC tomorrow fun fun. How many travelers will hunker In hotel all day and how many go in to empty client office ?
Got invited to a pitch and they are looking for remote freelance teams only.... Should I trust this? This is not via an agency but directly from the client.
When the client sends you a "mockup" of exactly how they want the vertical piece to look (after rounds and rounds) and it's a widescreen PPT — 💀
I've gotten to a point with my client where they are super comfortable with me. We don't shake hands anymore, but dap each other up. Same with my senior client account lead. Guess this is a good thing
Staffed on a project where I am not finding the motivation to do anything. Has anyone been through this similar situation before? And How did you manage?
Copywriter (and ADs) what kind of information do you include on your resume? Specifically trying to understand the best format & key points to include when speaking about my role at different agencies
Seeking a Mandarin language nanny in NYC for our child. Let me know if you have any agency recommendations or direct leads.
Potentially have an offer from a local tech startup. I’m 24, currently make ~$95K base and ~$50K, with an additional ~$20K in profit sharing (so total comp around $160-170K). Offer would likely (cont)
I recently left a pretty good summer internship to take a full time job and I regret it. I have been losing sleep over it all summer. And after remote work ends, the job would be in a high cost of living city as well. Due to this, I am looking at switching jobs again. I feel terrible about starting my career as a job hopper. Despite getting interviews at good companies, nothing is making me feel better about this situation. I don’t know how to handle the thoughts racing in my mind.
Anybody have Medical device industry Medical Affairs experience, and consulting experience and looking to exit back into industry? https://www.wsj.com/articles/forget-going-back-to-the-officepeople-are-just-quitting-instead-11623576602
Since wfh started in March this is longest I’ve gone without getting sick. Not a sore throat, no phlegm, no sniffles, nothing! Before I would get a mild sickness every other month or so. Yay for less people mingling! 🙌
I was laid off for the first time last wk and I feel completely empty. Does anyone have any advice? I've been talking with recruiters, trying to find connections, but it all feels hollow and hopeless.
Anyone who interviewed with Goldman Sachs recently, how did the salary negotiations go? The couple of calls I received from HR, they want to pin down a number before even proceeding for the interviews. So just wondering if they negotiate it when giving an offer.
Has anyone been fired in their first year in PA? What did you do afterwards to be successful?
In need of a suit last minute for an interview then wedding this weekend. Does anyone know of any places in /around Chicago that do same day or next day suit tailoring that are not crazy priced?
TOP 5 REASONS TO RETURN TO THE OFFICE FROM YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD CEO: 1. Easier to monitor your meals, bathroom breaks, chit chat, other non-work related things 2. Tired of seeing your poor person apartment on zoom lol 3. I hate my family hehe jk 😅🤣 4. We signed a 25 year lease on our office building 😳 5. Don’t particularly give a shit if you die of a covid variant sign this waiver lol
Is it easier/harder to recruit for mckinsey implementation vs a generalist role for mba full time recruiting? I kinda like ops work, but wondering if there's any issues with supply & demand re: hiring.
Started a new job on January 25, 2021. Reviews and promotion packets are due at the end of the month. You can only submit a review and promotion packet if you’ve been with the company since December 31, 2020. I’ve gotten very positive informal feedback from my manager and other colleagues. Should I push to have a review/promotion packet now even tho it’s only been 3 months?
