I went into the office for the past week and a half and didn’t meet a single consulting person if that matters

I was otb last week and didn't go in to the office at all. Recharge when you can and save capacity for the crunch times

Yes. Good habits require reinforcement. It’s about you, not about them. Life is all about showing up and consistency.

Yes. Why would you make yourself further unknown at home. Besides opportunities lie in every arena but only if you’re present

No

With new company o feel it would be good to show up and at least mingle until on first job. Then never show up again

Depends on which small office.....

I was in the same situation when I started. I started off going in everyday and like you, it felt pointless. I eventually started going in a just few days a week or less once I started working on PD with teams in other offices

I rolled off a project 3 months ago. They keep reaching out and asking me to help onboard new teammates to give them historical knowledge (it’s a long-term project). Do I have to keep doing this? Or does it get to a point where I can say I don’t have the time and there must be someone more recent who can help?

Long Post : I have a divorced female friend that I have known for over 15 years and consider as a sister. For the past couple weeks because I was on the bench and bored we talked about an hour+ often, especially when I am walking and need company. My wife went through my T mobile call history and mad because I'm talking to her too often and too long. She knows the friend as well and we all hangout on multiple occasions. Am I doing something wrong here? Or my wife is just insecure?

I’d start and then have to go on leave 2-3 months later. Any advice? Are there any specific rules? I was thinking of telling HR 30days out to start leave conversation. TIA!

Need advice on if there's anything I can or should do in this situation. Was managing a project for 6mo with a Client contact who was a *major* problem. A couple months ago I flagged partner support bc he was being verbally abusive to a young female Dev, so she was rolled off. It also reached the point with me that he was being so combative I could no longer work productively, was rolled off and Partner was supposed to step in to handle him. Cont

Recently i got an offer from HCL tech. The scheduled only one round of interview and then HR discussion happened and offered me around 45% from current package. My question is usually for experienced candidates there will be atleast 2 rounds of interview right? So after joining will they put me in bench and i will have to attend interviews there? Anyone just getting tired of their partner on a whole new level with WFH? I feel like we are getting into spats more, I'm getting more resentful of the lack of even workloads/effort, and to top it all off these tensions are literally invading my personal space! Not looking for advice really. Just wondering if anyone else is feeling partner fatigue more now than the Before Times.
