For me the Deloitte was was learning to story board. Still not my strong point, but I at least get the point across now. I also made myself know for what I do not my ppt. Skills, and my leadership supports me.

I don’t know if we really have such a thing. I think we have a set of core values, but I really don’t know if there’s a set Deloitte way of working because it differs so much from project to project. They might say we do, but I’m not sure it goes beyond using the buzzwords like client delivery excellence, etc For example, I’ve been on one project where the SM was a micro-manager, and even though it wasn’t his intention I think, turned me into a PPT monkey even though my role was supposed to be a program level role. Now I’m on a project where I never hear from my SM other than our check ins, and I’m on track to getting promoted to M. It’s just such a vastly different experience.

Deloitte absolutely helped me up my communication game. Coming from a military *and* industry background, I thought I had my email and summary games on point. Spoiler: I did not. Working at D had definitely helped me sharpen and polish my comms game all the way around.

Alright so there’s a thing called reclaim my status. If you had a reason why you lost status in the last year or two like COVID, baby, new job, etc. You need to submit some basic documentation and they give you that status for 3 months with a DRASTICALLY lower threshold to make the status permanent and even higher tiers are much easier to obtain during those 3 months. Google “reclaim my status Delta”

Any moms who really badly wanted a girl but ended up with a boy(s)? How do you feel now? Do you still want a girl? Would you try again? Does it matter really, or was it just in your head? Had a difficult relationship with my mom growing up, so always wanted that closeness with my future daughter. FTM having a boy and a little disappointed, but feeling guilty for that too. Difficult pregnancy so likely won't have another. But I want a girl. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Please no woke left gender drama responses. Thanks.

Hi, Consulting Moms! I need advice - I am leaving industry to return to consulting. I have offers from KPMG and Deloitte, and we are looking to start a family ASAP (we have been actively trying and I have a feeling it would be just my luck to start a new job and find out I’m pregnant). Would love your insight around personal experience with hours per week, work-life balance, culture, etc. Offers are same level/role/scope (Change Management / Transformation / Human Capital) and same salary. TY!

I broke up with my EX mainly because the relationship with my child and her was not the best, it sucks but I have to look out for my child, So far I am able to do the things I can do now. It is not the I am not Hoeing around but the simply fact that I can hang out with friends and go watch my son play baseball is a great feeling now. I feel at peace now, in somewhat of pain because of the breakup but I am at peace now.

I on L1 visa which is expiring on Dec 1. My wife is on L2 and currently pregnant and due on Dec 19. My company has filed for an extension in August for me and thinks that there will be no decision until early next year. If my visa extension gets denied before December 1, does it mean that we cannot deliver our child in US? What is the norms for losing health coverage - do I lose it immediately?

How safe is Houston downtown for a female staying alone with a young kid for a few months? Being very close to the office and daycare, and availability of public transport (doesn't drive) are reason for preffering downtown. However, have been reading about the recent crime surge there. If someone is generally back home by 8 PM or earlier, and will probably take Uber locally, is it still risky. Also welcome any good apartment suggestions. Thanks

Ladies, how do you know if your husband is a father material? My husband is in eager talks about us having children while I am on the fence. My dad took 80% care for me when I was young(cooking, cleaning, diapers, bottle feeding, etc) so my expectations for a father is way higher. My husband, seems to be still in the stage of transitioning from bachelor to husband, like he takes out trash, cook once per week, do laundry (no folding)when I ask. Not sure if that’s what it takes for me to predict.
