I’ve been interviewing with Google since July. Passed the first interview but the team I was matched with ended up hiring someone else. Recruiter told me that she will let me know if any other opportunities arise as I’m still in the running and haven’t been rejected. I know that interviewing with google is a long process but I’m worried the longer I wait the more likely I will be rejected or just never hear back. Anyone else in this situation? I do insurance defense and I HATE it. All I do is defend small businesses against slip and fall cases. I'm being pressured by an attorney family member (who also does ID) to switch to Plaintiff's work at a firm like Morgan & Morgan. He says it's better and I'll earn more. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. For those who moved from a client serving role to an internal role in public accounting while at a fairly high level (experienced manager or senior manager), did you take a pay cut or does your pay stay flat when you transition with minimal increases in subsequent years? Also what role are you in now? I really like EY and the company. I’d like to look at moving to an internal role but I’m worried I’ve priced myself out (currently at around 140k comp in LCOL).
