Best way to reduce taxes on severance pay? Receiving bonus and severance, tips for saving money. Open to charity etc. I’m afraid that most of this will go into taxes. I will max out my IRA.
Hi, usually everyone come here to say like 'hey i have 4 offers can you tell me the on-hand salary and which company to choose from. But congratulations to myself for facing the 5 th rejected mail.. I don't take failures very seriously.. but today I really did great in interview with Accenture for a moment I really thought I will get into accenture.. but for some reason I got rejected.. I gave it my all but still getting rejected.. feeling bit devestated. But it's ok and I am not going to stop.
How do you charge for freelance projects? Hourly? Day rate? How much? 13 years experience. NYC.
I hate the fact that when recruiters reach out they don’t say what the salary range is, virtual or in-person, weekly hour expectations, how big the accounting department is, or literally anything you would want to know before deciding whether an interview is worth your time.
You guys, what’s a weekly rate? This kinda smells like some bullshit.... isn’t is just a way to make you work weekends for way less money than you’d normally make with a day or hourly rate?
Tip: find an activity you enjoy that is at least moderately challenging—bonus if it’s outside, involves exercise, and/or is social For me, skiing this winter has been huge for my mental state
Any fishes that did PMO consulting and exited to industry? What kind of exit opportunities are available at SC and M level? How much was your salary hike? MBA here with 2+ years of consulting experience.
What is salary range for new SM ?
How much is the salary difference between SA and SP in Slalom (Midwest)? I see glassdoor giving high number in SA level (much higher than I get) and I am hoping to get SP level in 2018
Sick of biglaw but I want to stay one more annual bonus season. I’m seriously burned out and would like to shift gears but I’d like to leave after ending my 5th year. I am potentially looking to just try and hide/keep my head low to avoid work as much as possible/“slack off” and wonder how possible is to do that for a year without getting fired? I aim to maximize vacay time, and just in general try to avoid any work I don’t absolutely have to do.
What’s the latter end of the salary range for Senior Associate with Guidehouse? How about salary range for Manager with national security sector (TS/SCI with poly)? Thanks!
Does anyone have any suggestions for leveraging an earned-but-unpaid bonus at your existing employer to counter a job offer? My firm is among the biglaw firms that have announced special bonuses to be paid out later this year, and I have an in-house offer in hand.
Interviewing with Elixirr next week for a (Senior) Consultant role in NYC; recruiter connected me to opportunity. Concerns are that they do more execution than strategy and quoted compensation at $115K might be lower than industry average. Would appreciate any insight on reputation and career development prospects.
What’s a reasonable answer when a small, independent agency asks what your desired salary is? Info on Glassdoor is limited given they’re all smaller. For context, I’m a junior with just a little over a year of experience so v green. Thanks!
If I’m creating a comp set and a row of numbers will not adjust the number of decimals no matter how many times I adjust it in the “format cells” window, what could be the reason for this and how can I get around it
ACN folks - how much does a newly promoted MD make? Breakout of base, bonus, equity would be great.
PSA: PwC has unfrozen comp and will be giving base comp adjustments effective on 01/01/2021. Advisory on cohort system will be trued up to their current cohort based on FY20 salary and all other groups will receive incremental salary adjustments from 1-5%. Now that’s a Christmas gift!
Debating on leaving Big 4. Not exactly sure what I would want to do outside Big 4... any ideas for research areas?
Since partners no longer get subsidized health care coverage from their firms, do any partners purchase health care through the aca marketplace exchange? Even without a premium tax credit from the exchange, it would have to be cheaper than paying full price via the firm’s plan unsubsidized. I heard that some get coverage thru a spouse’s plan, but what if the spouse’s family plan from their employer is really bad? Curious to hear about options out there. Anyone from ZS willing to refer a friend for their healthcare practice in the NJ office?

Is advertising a den of thieves where we just steal concepts from creatives? I saw David do something similar with their Coke print ad. Man, I don't know what's up with the advertising industry anymore
Using free rental coupons from National for a long weekend with my wife in Savannah/Hilton Head in a couple weeks -- what type of car should I reserve? Thinking convertible, but maybe premium car...
Do people go though all the rounds of an interview (whilst interviewing at a bunch of different places), receive multiple offers, and just turn them all down but one?
Are any of the healthcare agencies more creative than the others? Or all about the same?
What is the best way to select a developer or agency? Submitted a project on upwork and got tons of proposals. Would love some advice on the recommended way to qualify them. Everyone seems to have very similar estimation, experience and a great deal of projects done in portfolio.
What happens if you don’t hit your billable hours? I am a first-year that had a very slow February and slow start to March. I’ve been reaching out to various teams for work but things seem slow now & I’m worried that I’m not going to hit my 1800 target.
I’m a baby lawyer (2020 grad) and I just got hit with my first “hey you’re a lawyer right?” From a high school classmate lol I feel like I’m officially an attorney now.
