How do you handle it when your kid can’t go to school/daycare? Daycare options in my area are extremely limited, and the one are in is pretty good. They are very strict about kids not being there when they are sick, which I appreciate and mostly agree with. Except that the rules are along the lines of if your kid has a temperature over 100, they cannot come in until they’ve been under 100 for 72 hours. According to every doctor I’ve spoke to, 100 isn’t even considered a fever. (See rest below)

I’m trying to gauge salary expectations as a workers comp supervisor/manager. I have 7 years experience, all in California workers comp, and the last 2 years have been as a supervisor/manager. I have 3 designations and experience with difficult, technical files.

I recently found out that a PT aide was making the same amount as me. Later, I found out the other aide who had been there very few months was also making the same (if not very close) to me after a recent $1 increase (due to my discovery). Both of these aides are men. The level of responsibility that falls on them verses what I am responsible for is truly laughable. I have seen jobs advertised for lead administrator coordinators for 24-26 an hour(with less responsibilities). Anyone else?

My husband and I hosted my mother-in-law as she was looking for an efficiency to live in. (We are from Miami.
Today was the last day we agreed to have her and she hasn't found a place because she is attached to her 3 dogs.She also makes 24k per year so it's tough to find something in her price range.
She said she was going to sleep in her car until she figured it out. I feel bad,but at the same time she is unwilling to adopt her dogs to adj for circumstances.I am torn about extending her stay
