Sometimes the line between breakfast and lunch can be blurry

like

Well yeah when they don't define the acceptable times. Like who the hell are you to tell me when I can and can't eat. FU

Always use breakfast money for it. If you're concerned about timing, buy in the morning on the way to the office.

like

Relax, it's only lunch. Worse case you're out $15? Keep your eye on the prize (big picture)

Lots of post about kids so I’ll offer one that’s been on my mind. Why more than one kid? I grew up with a sibling. She is my best best friend but as I’ve gotten older realized we were more of the exception. Lucky that we are same gender (which I do think impacts closeness), that we are close in age, and just clicked like bffs. Have since met so many sibs with non existent and toxic relationships. More kids = more expense. After passing on genes and getting love of a child, why have more than one

To con't the conversation on engagement rings💍 - what do they symbolize to you? My BF and I got into a discussion about this last night. He views them as an investment and an "asset" on the books for his future family. He also has grandparents who had to finance their trip to America by selling their jewels. I see the ring as more of a gift to the future bride that is an expense that can be sold for money if needed, but isn't an investment. I'm fine w/ lab grown, he is not. Thoughts?

I'll be renovating my house (gut all existing bathrooms and kitchen, extend house to make room for an extra bathroom). It's currently my primary residence but I likely have to move in early 2022 to another city where I also own a house and then I plan to rent my current residence via Airbnb. What should I consider from a tax perspective? For example, if my current residence becomes an investment property before or when I renovate, does the renovation count as a tax deductible expense?

Hey guys. I have a soon to be nonprofit church struggling because they already started services (collecting offerings too against my advice) before things were set with an EIN and they gave an event already planned out and are trying to find a way to spend and collect before the things are in order. They want to know if one of their small business owners can expense and collect then consider it a donation. Is this possible? Any advice or loopholes that are Legal and will avoid issues later on?

Met with my boss today and was told “well you’re way better at your job than we expected...so keep doing that and just that. We might be able to have some more interesting work for you to do in 2-3 years”. Meanwhile...I am BORED TO TEARS!!!!!! And it’s tempting to quit, but I make more money than both of my parents combined EVER have, we had zero layoffs during COVID, and I really do love the people. Had my Green Card (AOS) interview today for a marriage based application. We did not receive an immediate decision after the interview. One item cited by the officer was the expiration of I-693 medical records (it’s been over 2 years since we filed). Coincidently, as per new USCIS guidelines, they’ve extended the validity of I-693 to 4 years due to covid. I didn’t know this or else I would’ve called it out. I’m hoping this doesn’t generate an RFE. Anyone here with a similar experience? Any RFEs?

Dear Amazing and incredible folk of fishbowl app, I received a HireVue interview for the 2022 New analyst position within Internal Audit at Goldman Sachs. I will be greatly obliged if you could please share your experiences and what kind of questions I should expect. Further, do you get do overs if you start to mess up an answer? I had applied to technology audit so how much should I be prepared to talk about auditing as a service? Once again any insights will go a long way. Thank you :)

I shifted from Consulting over to a CSM role and am finding that even though I’m in a better place culture and pay wise, I’m feeling every day social anxiety that comes with a customer-facing role, making me think I’m not cut out for this and that I should move to something more internal, like corporate strategy. My worry is if I make this type of move, a paycut will always have to follow. Has anyone else felt this and can offer some advice?

Who should I trade for? 12 team standard league. Feel like I have too much depth on the bench (Elijah Mitchell, Julio, diante Johnson, devonta smith) to not make a trade. I’m thinking I would probably be open to trading for a top tier wr, Rb, or tight end. Or even consider trading for a middle of the pack tight end.
