Make $120k Accenture now doing tech implementations, just got offer 200k TC EY business consulting. I love my job, have a great WLB (working 20 hours per week, no travel, clear path to M in about 1.5 years) - am I an idiot for even contemplating staying? What I would be doing is more PPT/functional vs Onestream/technical which I do now.

@SM1 - Im positive no one likes working on your projects either if that pisses you off.
Can't be your home city or home airport! Same thing for breakfast on travel date.
Ethics much?
I've expensed on a travel night back at my home airport.
They actually do know if you're audited.
^^well yeah but you can't live your life in fear of an audit 🙄
@P1 his SM may care. And @EY4 is it really worth it to lose a job over $50 dinner? But whatever you do you Op.
My response to this in a thread with a similar question: Depends on what time you land. My personal gray line is if I'm getting home after 7:30. Obviously fine when you haven't left client city yet. I'm pretty good about putting the tax location as my home city too, which may make it taxable. Never had it questioned.
No, I do that literally every Monday out! That is not prohibited by any written policy. Your project leadership may tell you that, but it is not policy, it is leaders improving margin by offloading expenses to employees IMHO.
Yup P2, if that's the case, the PMO is telling everyone that and about every team member is planning their escape from the awful SM.
SM you're a deuche bro
That doesn't make sense. Run up a bar tab and charge the client and unnecessary $200/ bottle of wine but you're going to cry ethics when you've been traveling all week, get home at 9pm and order a 25$ dinner. GTFO
Yes! Dinner at airport!
What if it's once you get home? There is surely no difference right?
Not in your home city. Anywhere else is fine (airport or connecting airport)
SM is in the right, though. There is no "personal gray time". The rules say one thing and it's up to each person whether they want to abide by them or skirt them. Personally, I think it's bad character to cheat.
Do the WBL "Your Personal Responsibility: US Expense Policies"
@SM1. You are a clown. You advocate running up bar tabs and breaking expense policies during the week. But if someone wants to grab chipotle when they land and are rushed to make a flight you are completely against it. Lmao. Now that is funny.
Technically you aren't supposed to expense dinner if you've already arrived at your home city, but they never know... 😏
Who gives a shit and expense it the client isn't going to care about an extra 50-60 bucks
