This is 100% true. Not even proper feedback from my counselor.


Not true. You need to align at the start of the year with your counsellor and agree on the goals. Have a monthly connect with the counsellor to assess current state and what has to be achieved and work towards it.
You cannot just exist on the team with no visibility and then complain of unfair practices. I have myself moved from VC last year to EC with promotion this year by following this. Hope this helps.
You are equally responsible as your counsellor for this activity. It is your entire years work. Please dont let it hang on their shoulders. Be proactive.


I joined on October, still they said the same.

No proper reason given by counsellor about default ratings


HR doesn't do anything.. once service line has given rating, don't expect any change.. they'll give unfair reasons.. bell curve etc.
Too much politics and favouritism


Theres a grievance redressal system also. So if anyone has any concerns you can raise it after you get your ratings and then they have another set of discussions. Sad to know that no one knows about it.
I was given VC and no progression post which I raised concerns, escalated to partner and onsite management, they put pressure and i got a progression. The director agreed what happened wasnt right and he would personally look after it.


I raised this concern for not getting a progression after giving the best of my efforts, the response from counselor was that progression quota is allocated already, we can look in the next cycle. What is the next cycle he mentioned I couldn't clarify? So someone please clarify. Are there any quarterly appraisal cycle? Or I should forget my efforts and wait till next year?

Is their any way to raise our concern to HR that most of the team mates is having 4 & 5 rating but 2-3 got 3

Hr will ask how do you know, its not to be discussed
