EY, question about utilization. If we hit 40 chargeable hours for the week, does charging time to admin/auth-proj. impact utilization in any way? I’ve only been logging chargeable hrs in GTE...
Will the inability to speak the local language fluently in a country like Germany or Japan definitely impact utilization negatively below manager level?
Does Accenture really “not have utilization?” This seems unlikely or like a half truth, what is the catch?
Snuck out of work. Turned off my phone. Just bought tickets for Avengers: Endgame. Fuck utilization
Are utilization targets strict at every consulting firm? I know we complain a lot at Deloitte but I’m not sure if it’s the same everywhere
How many hours are considered 100% utilization for S3/S4? Are we based off 40 or 45 now in SaT?
How am I expected to keep 2 interns and a first year and the GDC fully utilized when I and the rest of my team barely have things to hand off.
When do utilization rates reset at PwC?
my partner always says you have to to reach out for work everyday when available and blames low utilization on the staff level when we have a dedicated resource manager. Is this industry standard?
GT NY Folks- Tax A1 here, any insight on round tables for first year’s? People have said they generally never fire A1’s, is that true? Utilization is low so a little concerned.
125% Utilization and 7th position from top right in Q3 scatter plot. I am in Advisory (joined in Aug 2015) primarily concentrating in FSI. Chances of promotion from C -> SC?
Looking at the way people are laid off, utilization is just one part of it. It's so hard to pin point what is (proper consultants let go from projects, etc..)
Deloitte be like: Your safety is our #1 priority.....but so is utilization becau$e year end is around the corner
Hi 🐠, need some advice. Was told by my manager that time doing research (for info related to my client) is not client billable and has to be charged to the overhead code. This strikes me as fundamentally wrong, esp bc this is a flat rate project so the hours will just affect my utilization / internal metrics, not how much the client is billed. I asked for a non-billable code that counts towards utilization but was told my utilization is fine even though I’d be billing <40hrs & to use OH code
I was curious what other firms have set as their utilization goals for their different positions? Currently, everyone from staff to senior manager has a set goal of 90%.

I have a salary range in mind for a new role based on online research and target increase from my comp now. But my research shows the data points are for salaries in HCOL areas. Do I need to adjust what I ask for if it’s a remote role and I’m not in HCOL city? Don’t want to overshoot and lose a great opportunity.
Hi I have an offer for the role of Product Manager from Sapient. Can someone provide how's the work culture there ? Also, are these roles put on bench first, and then taken in for client projects ? Also, any thing to be aware of w.r.t. the pros and cons ? Thank you.
What do you do when you're on the bench? Apparently I'm being picked up next week, but my team hasn't sent me any prep materials. I'm helping for 2-3 hrs per day, but the rest of the time......nada.

Completely bombed an interview yesterday, and I’m ok with that. I realized how wildly unprepared I was and how I can make it better for the next ones I have lined up! It’s ok to fail and learn from mistakes. Also my kids were running around in the background so hopefully that wasn’t the reason 🤣
I have 60k in Cash (High Yield Savings and Checkings accounts). And 60k in Investment Accounts (401k, IRA,Taxable, Etc). Have 2 investment properties. I’m 25, should I be more diversified? I want to make sure I’m capitalizing on my cash as much as possible. Should I be putting more into the Markets in stead of having so much cash?
Anyone here leave State and Local tax? Where did you go? Was there a lot of exit opportunities? Any recommendations on where to go with only State and Local tax experience and no federal experience?

Taking some time off. Need some book recommendations. Some light interesting non-fiction. No self help or management books. Just interesting topics that won’t make me think about work.

Benefits assistance, please! Context: 25F, unmarried, no dependents & no parents 1) Firm provides AD&D of $20k at no cost. Can purchase voluntary AD&D up to $500,000 for $3.50/pp. 2) Group LTD 60% replacement of first $150,000 of earnings for $4.57/pp. Inexpensive I know, but is this worth it for me? Or are these future considerations?
