Not during busy season.... Summer yes

Now would I have to have 94% if there's nothing to do in the summer or do you just have to hit 94% by year end ?

I heard utilization doesn't matter in a smaller office where everyone just knows each other and can assess performance regardless of utilization. Bigger offices uses the metric more as they may not be familiar with 1000 staff lol.

For 2017

You talking effective. After reducing for holiday, vacation etc. so no it's not high. But does paint a better picture of how to block your time when you are in the office and staffed on engagements.

You wanna hit or exceed at mid-year and at year-end.

Right well im in a group where we don't really work that much lol meaning from June-January in probably billing 3-7 hours a day and that's when im constantly requesting work from my group. I'm charging 6-10hours a day during busy season which really starts mid February- end of may. So it's hard to hit that 94-95%. I was told I'll be acting senior for 2017 and that I'm doing a great job with only having 7 months with the firm but was also told to try to hit that utilization so I'm just worrying how I'm gonna do that.

Hi 🐠, need some advice. Was told by my manager that time doing research (for info related to my client) is not client billable and has to be charged to the overhead code. This strikes me as fundamentally wrong, esp bc this is a flat rate project so the hours will just affect my utilization / internal metrics, not how much the client is billed. I asked for a non-billable code that counts towards utilization but was told my utilization is fine even though I’d be billing <40hrs & to use OH code

I have a salary range in mind for a new role based on online research and target increase from my comp now. But my research shows the data points are for salaries in HCOL areas. Do I need to adjust what I ask for if it’s a remote role and I’m not in HCOL city? Don’t want to overshoot and lose a great opportunity.

Hi I have an offer for the role of Product Manager from Sapient. Can someone provide how's the work culture there ? Also, are these roles put on bench first, and then taken in for client projects ? Also, any thing to be aware of w.r.t. the pros and cons ? Thank you.

What do you do when you're on the bench? Apparently I'm being picked up next week, but my team hasn't sent me any prep materials. I'm helping for 2-3 hrs per day, but the rest of the time......nada.
