@EY Looking for guidance on Business Consulting pay range for SM/AD in US. In addition how are the benefits there (401K, Pension, Vesting, PTO, Holidays, WLB, Travel, Mobile Plan, Gym Membership, Parental Leave, Home Office Allowance)? Please share if I am missing any of the big ones. Glad to DM too if you prefer.
How does the above at EY compare to Deloitte & Accenture?
EY:
1.5%-3% 401k match depending on rank / tenure.
Defined benefit pension that isn't worth anything unless you stay for the long haul.
$1,000 well being fund which can be used to reimburse 75% of a wide variety of fitness or home office ergonomic expenses (e.g., gym membership, new office chair, home workout equipment, etc.)
"Flexible" PTO - no set # of days, take what we need. We're 2 weeks into that experiment so can't comment on how that works in practice. Big backlash when they announced it last year.
Week off for summer break (4th of July week) and winter break (Christmas / New Years). For other holidays, we get 4 day weekends for Memorial day, labor day, and Thanksgiving, and then for the first time this year we're getting MLK day. (It's a total of 19 holiday days)
We get reimbursed up to $60 toward our phone bill and $25 toward our home internet. The latter was a new one due to COVID so unsure if it will be a permanent thing.
Parental leave = 16 weeks for either parent within first year of birth (or adoption), which can be extended by attaching up to 3 weeks of vacation on top of it.
WLB obviously varies heavily from practice to practice, project to project, and most importantly team to team.
For EY I believe the pension program changed 4 or 5 years ago. The cash pension program from prior was more lucrative if I understand correctly.
Accenture ones off the top of my head
- 6% 401k match
- No pension, but you can buy up to 10% of your salary in ACN stock at a 15% discount - this is one of our biggest perks
- no WFH allowance across the board, but some projects may allow reimbursement of some items or certain states offer partial wifi reimbursement where required by law
- variety of gym discounts, $25/ month gym membership available through health plan for select locations
- Standard holidays off, excluding MLK, etc., One additional floating holiday per year on top of PTO
- PTO will depend based on level and tenure
- Mobile plan reimbursement above manager
- Parental leave - not sure on exact numbers on this one but we have benefits such as backup dependant care, shipping home breast milk, etc.
- WLB will vary according to project, but for the most part there has been increased communication on allowing people time to do what they need to do outside of work and maintaining WLB
Note that MDs have different benefits
It's through health insurance or discount mall and only for certain chains. Doesn't apply to peloton, but we do get discounted equinox membership separate from that program.
