Tips on being a ‘top performer’ in FDD?
Looking for career advice!
Im a new starter in FDD as a Senior, qualified and am sitting for CFA L2. I want to make sure I'm doing everything right to maximise my chances of landing a FO role in a PE/Fund or ER/M&A role at an BB/EB.
A few I've heard so far:
- Get infra deals exp
- Network aggressively
- Leave within 1 yr
JPMorgan Chase Morgan Stanley Goldman Sachs Citi Bank of America Barclays Credit Suisse RBC KKR Blackstone TPG Apollo Global Management, LLC Bain Capital Warburg Pincus

Is that even a question lol. Your pay and exit options are way better at EY. WLB could be better at RSM though.
EY > RSM. Career wise you will be better off. Even after some time at EY, you could always move to RSM if you choose to do so.

since you're an intern you should start at big 4 unless you know long hours aren't for you. RSM may be the right place for you long term once you're experienced with an understanding of your professional preferences, but give yourself the optionality early on. I think RSM is great and have no intention of leaving, but am glad I started at big 4 for at least a couple years
Exit ops and pay better at b4. I jumped from mid tier to b4 so can say that for a fact. The split won’t happen for a few years anyways, so since you’re already asking about exit ops that is irrelevant. But go with your gut and where you’ll fit in, bc that should matter too.
Rsm it doesn’t matter ey or RSM. Rsm is great

Go to RSM so someone who actually knows what it's worth will be there
