EY MD 🐠 , I’m a newly promoted MD and have a few questions on comp timelines I’m hoping you can help answer since there have been 0 comms to MDs on this 😔:
1. I’ve heard we don’t find out new salaries until mid-Aug with others below PP. Given others new comp doesn’t start until Oct, do you know if that’s when our new comp starts too even though our new titles are already effective?
2. Does the MD rating/comp timeline continue to follow the timeline for others going forward after the first yr?

Practice has been growing rapidly but I’ve been in a rut as a few projects went on ice due to COVID, and have been swinging and missing on BD. In parallel, my Practice Leader has been crazy busy because of said growth and has missed last few check-ins with me. He’s also my main PPMD sponsor. So am feeling demotivated and a little unloved. If there is a sought after Director for a practice being built up at PwC. Has there ever been a time that a director can go straight to partner if they have an external offer that is quite compelling ?

Basically that offer would be 1st year partner salary and build off that ? Or PwC likes to stick to it's process and only other option is down the road consider direct Admit partner?
