Does barclays provide any diwali bonus ?
I really think that the insurance policy given by mediassist is way more expensive for parental insurance, means who will pay for 50k+ premium and that too for large copay, I guess the leadership team should intervene here....Parental insurance is really important for any employee and most of the time is only needed.
Recently I used parental insurance and found that the insurance company only paid for 50% of the total bill.

Which firm has the best dressed consultants?

None of us Type A's use sick time anyways. What does it matter?
Well we have to use our PTO. So cue the people coming to work sick all the time.
Curious if anyone did use unlimited days when on the bench. I can't read the new policy is this limit just constraining days and calling it an enhanced benefit? Would have been nice to use days for my sick father in the hospital but I had to work remotely and pped didn't provide any coverage anyway so I was stuck.
ACN I am a bit confused, what do you mean we have to use our PTO? New to Accenture and maybe I missed this part of orientation.
@EY2 - pretty sure this is not in excess rather it is 10 days for our own PERSONAL sick time as well as doctor visits, caring for sick family, etc. References that in the FAQ, and somewhere I also saw something about "previously the firm took a casual approach to sick leave". Funny how it is positioned as a perk, but it really isn't. I agree with PWC1 though... barring serious illness I'll bet most people done take 10 days of one off sick days.
Thoughts?
I think the 10 days are in addition to the sick time
@SC1 We don't have separate sick days. We get 25 days PTO, which includes both vacation and sick days.
Yes SC1. We have to use PTO for sick days. It sucks
It's also strange in that you don't need approval whereas before 3 consecutive days required a doctors note... now it seems to be at discretion and it doesn't roll over so basically everyone may as well take the last 2 weeks of the year sick every time...
I am taking mine right now.
They changed the policy for everyone in the US firm that's a full time employee. Tbh I think it's an overall plus; whereas there was an "infinite" amount of sick leave before, now we have a set amount and can use it/are expected to use it whether for ourselves or for a family member. I don't buy "unlimited" leave policies; they are ultimately just marketing gimmicks that force everyone to work harder
Maybe this policy will actually convince people to take them! I never took a day when we had unlimited. I was always encouraged to work from home
As a staff who was severely ill earlier this year and required multiple trips to the hospital, I think this policy is a slap in the face to how hard we work. The last thing I would have wanted to worry about was whether or not the amount of time I needed to recover was appropriate under some policy. Firm leadership should be ashamed at this change. I'm sure when they get sick or their family members get sick, they don't pay attention to the fucking policy.
Unlimited sick time is gone?
We now have switched to a set 10 days for sick leave, but it includes taking care of family and helper animals (lol)
That's a big difference
Well... did you ever take more than 10 sick days in a year..? Lol
^you still need approval for consecutive sick days for yourself
Is this for everyone or just new employees. Crazy they could change your benefit if you already had it.
