Hello. It depends on the kind of work you want to do. We don’t do large scale implementation projects like system implementations, so if that’s the kind of work you want to do then stay at EY.

We work with c-suite and boards. Anything tech related that a CIO/CTO/CDO would drive, we advise. I’d be happy to have a look at your resume but you should have a look at our website and our cases first to determine if you’re interested.

Not with that spelling

Do you want to make lot of money or a little money? People at Alix make cash, EY folks don’t outside of Parthenon.

Alix pay a lot more than EY-P.

Like AP1 said, we don’t do tech / system implementation and given our leverage model (or the lack thereof), we won’t.

I don’t think we do much tech strategy work either. Our strength really lies in our senior-heavy model and an “owner/operator” mentality.

We are best known for our restructuring side but our management consulting practice is actually much larger. I’d say we’re very strong in ops, procurement, org strategy, ODD, and large transformation types of projects (however, we don’t approach transformation work the same way as do Big 4 firms - i.e., throwing bodies at tasks. We advise and use client resources / contingent workers).

On the downside, you probably won’t get the breadth of scope you might have at EY. But on the upside, the comp is much, much better and we are a lot more collegial and entrepreneurial than EY (I’m speaking as an ex-EYer).

Not an accounting firm. Unlike EY

For Tech implementation experience, consider offshore firms such as Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, etc. As long as you know how to spellcheck in one of Java, Python, Cobol or GWBasic, you should be fine.

VP1 have no problem working, i work close to 70 hours per week in EY on multiple strategic projects.

Not sure how established Alix is in the tech space. Don't believe they're competing with EY at the largest clients. I think they focus on tech work for smaller PE-operated companies that they might have relationships with through their restructuring work.

Believe they do a lot of vendor evaluation or technology due diligence for transactions. Also have implementation arm but not sure if they can really compete with the resources of Big 4/Accenture

Went through the loop and got an offer but it was below expectations. During the recruiting process I was told it was a sr manager position, but when the offer was extended it was for a manger. I have a competing offer that came in after I already accepted the Amazon offer and now I have no idea what to do. The other offer is stronger but… I mean it’s Amazon. And if I don’t take this now I’m never going to get here again bc there is no way in hell I’m going through that loop again. Any advice?
