EY vs FTI for career growth?

Is this a joke?

If you won’t join a firm just because it is smaller, you may be missing on lot of opportunities. This company specializes in many areas - Corporate Finance being most prominent. Target market segment is mid sized companies so, exposure to their problems is extremely valuable which you won’t ever in bigger firms. Lot of folks struggle initially at FTI coming from EY. My 2 cents, I wouldn’t write off FTI so easily.

I might have an exit to a *sigh* sox manager position, but very interested in the company, which will probably afford more interesting roles within a couple years. 30k pay bump. Take it or hold out for something more interesting? Honestly I like IA/risk mgmt.

When do we get to know our merit increases and bonus amounts?

Can anyone please refer me for Data warehouse/ETL Testing role (3+ YOE) in TCS?

In my late 20's, but I've lived in my current city (nonUS) my whole life. I was really looking forward to moving to NYC and landed a job there earlier this year although I'm still WFH and not in the US yet. A recruiter reached out to me for a new role but it would be in my old city. I'd be pretty fine with both roles themselves. But the NYC one would pay about 140$ TC (not sure about bonus yet, this is a guess), and the non-NYC one would be maybe $25-30 more. Is the $ worth the city sacrifice?

My husband and I are considering relocating to the Carolinas and I was curious if anyone can give me information about how special education services are typically provided in your state. Do you primarily push in to the classrooms or do you pull students out to individualize their programs? At my school here in Wyoming, my paras work with students in the classroom and I pull individual students and small groups into my room throughout the day to work on their specific IEP Goals.

So my wife basically said she doesn’t want to have sex anymore. Don’t want to do anything about it. After couple kids, doesn’t feel it anymore. Also said it wasn’t anything I did and there’s no one else. I understand women’s body changes after child birth but can’t help thinking it’s gonna suck being in a sexless marriage. We’re still attractive and haven’t turned into couch potatoes…yet Happy Thanksgiving!

Is it possible to jump from PA to some sort of a teaching role at a university? I saw some SMs and Partners on linkedin are also associate professors. Thoughts?

How do you work from home with two kids under 4? I got some weekend assignments, but am literally interrupted every 30-60 seconds. Going insane, send help.

Firms that haven’t matched the market comp increase - do you worry that as a result you will lose MBA intern offerees to other firms for this summer? Interviews are now so it’s almost decision time

Currently make 75k in a low cost of living area as a government employee. Big 4 tax background with 5 years experience. Currently working in regulation. I have an opportunity to move back into tax but the catch is it’s in San Francisco. Offer is 130k with a target 10% bonus and 5% pension contribution. Based on my pay and what my spouse could make in SF the pay differential would be a slight decrease based on COL. I’m not seeing a bright future in my government career due to continual budget...
